It's way too easy to get stuck at level 70 at 280 days. Boosting only takes the player to 76 and the player stops developing at this point.
Developers (Bort) have screwed this up when the player development has become dependent on boost timing. If you don't boost at all, you might as well stop playing. If you do, you still may be screwed.

I'm confused at what you're suggesting?

I believe if you do miss a boost you can still boost to level 79, but I forgot when or how (never had the problem) I guess that may be your "boost timing" thing. I mean really though you have like 56 days to boost within that season. If you can't manage to find time out of those days to boost, you probably shouldn't be playing. On top of that Bort's solution to those players who "don't boost at all" was giving them 2-4 FREE players...

So how do you suggest it gets fixed then? You can't state a purported problem without a solution.

If you don't boost by day 48 of season of creation, then you have to boost between -8 to -1 of the season when plateau starts. You will then hit level 79, as long as you've boosted three times for every season between.

There are plenty of build guides around the site. Did you read up on any of these before starting this thread? Would have saved you all this grief about not leveling past lvl 70.

how are dots getting stuck at 70? if you are starting a dot in peewee, you should be retiring it at the end of the season. otherwise, you have the final boosts to catch up on any missed ones.

I'm betting he missed more than once, Gup. GLB added the extra ability to catch up with boosts at the end of the build but it only covers ONE missed season's worth (3 boosts). So if you started without the 3 early boosts... then missed a season's boosts... and maybe even a second season's boosts... that'd leave you at level 70 at the end. Don't think GLB is gonna give more extra boosts at the end to make up for our mistakes. What they COULD/SHOULD do is make it so that ALL dot's are automatically boosted at the end of each season with the ONLY way to change that being to UNCHECK the auto-boost feature. Right now I think only freedots get that.

That would make players slightly cheaper also, so it's a win-win right?

But in theory, if dots grew faster, then there would be more flex spent over the same period of time on more players total. Like right now it's basically 30 boosts for an age 480 dot (480/30 So that's 1 boost every 16 days). If the age goes down to 400, that would be a boost every 14.2 days -- or to put it another way, the original player's 28 boosts would get paid for, and then 12 boosts of the next player would get bought over the same 480 day period... 40 boosts in 480 days instead of 30 ... so win-win-win?

hadn't even thought about it like that... why would WG want a 30% bump in income anyway

not to mention the possible effects on the player base by showing that WG actually gives a flying fork about their own game. existing agents would likely stay longer and former agents might actually come back.

all new build guides would have to be re-written. imagine a new era of theory crafting

Normalize the training from season to season and don't penalize bad timing on boosting. The game shouldn't force boosting 6x at max level but keep at 3 boosts per season.
It's ridiculous to double flex cost when you hit maturity. It's bad enough that your flex refund on retirement has been whittled away to nothing.

I miss the days when I got flex back and not having builds capped at 280 days.

What are you talking about? We still get flex back upon retirement IF we spend flex in making them..

Do you expect to get flex back when you retire FREE players?
