What's better for the HoF:

An MVP in Pro or Reg-Pro?

Which league is easier to get that MVP?

i dont know if HOF cares about the league. i just assumed that 5000 in pro was better than 5000 in reg pro, but i dont know that to be a fact. but i do seem to remember quite a few hof stat whores racking up their stats in reg pro.

mvp will depend on the individual conf. there are tons of stat whores out there. i know that my pro kicker has lost a few mvp to a punter on a shit team that has no business being in pro. so if you pick the wrong conf, you might get multiple challengers. pick the right onf, and it could be a cake walk.

League doesn't mean dick. For example:

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=4298881
#3 all time ST, 11 total MVPs, only one in EPL, the rest in minors and reg pro.

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=1843770
#8 all time ST, 10 total MVPs, 7 in USAPL.

The top player also played for nearly two full seasons longer than the bottom. Endurance is a major factor in high HoF rankings

I don't think winning an MVP or trophy of any kind affects HoF standing though. League does strongly affect the rankings, but it can be abused some in reg pro simply because you can remain competitive with old players. You can't still be effective in PL at age 700.

It would be good to have HoF's criteria only measured up to 480/520 days. And then have a different column that has rates anything over, but with a limiter based on league. This way you know who is the dot who has actually performed during their active competitive at the highest levels seasons.

Back when the game was huge, the HOF should have been revamped to give zero weight (or almost zero weight) to anything under Pro leagues and extra weight assigned to World League and Casual Pro levels.

age isnt as important as league. if you are/were 520 days old and still kicking butt in a top league, you should have gotten credit for it. not resetting, or adding a 2nd hof post beta was a HUGE mistake
