I personally think they are going to leave it as is and when there are no longer enough players to support the game that will be the end of GLB......IMO.

we can already see the lack of players coming up thru the ranks. the question isnt IF glb will fold, but when. not doing anything to alieviate the player shortage will only hasten the when part.

I think the answer is pretty simple. They already have this ability in GLB2 called a 'Pickup Player'. You can fast track it pretty easy then convert it to a 'regular player' at any time during it's build process. Each agent has one (and only one) so the market can't be flooded with them and it costs (flex) to convert the pickup player into a dot. Installing that here would be pretty simple since they've already done it once therefore its not like starting from complete scratch.

That's fine for glb2 but as you stated Theo an agent only gets one pick up player.

The issue here in glb1 is that it takes so long to get a dot to plateau for me it has become monotonous in building them. I can probably speak for a lot of other agents in this also. It takes a year (7 seasons) to bring a dot up thru the little leagues. (to long)

Either 1) give us the ability to create insta dots starting from level 40 and up, Those who want to play in the lower leagues can do so, those who build for the higher levels don't have to wait a year to use the dot.
Or 2) shorten the build cycle by three seasons which would then only take four seasons to bring a dot to plateau.

I do agree with Mauler on his post that they are going to leave it as is and when there isn't enough players left to play it will be the end of glb1. (in that case I have not been buying flex for the fact that it doesn't seem to long down the road that that will happen but I could be wrong on this.)

But on the other hand if they did do something to spark interest back into this game it could bring more revenue to them as people would start buying flex again.

I would love to have a lvl 40 instadot after creating 3 other dots. Full Flex purchase of course.

I think there are many more than 100 agents playing too. maybe 119.

I think a lot of people would return if you gave away about 10 players with each team bought .who have to stay with that team forever, franchise player they could get their qb, rb, and then fill in as needed.s

GLB 2 has a pickup player option. Would be great here. Waiting a year for a dot to finish isn't fun anymore.

The fact that player building gets boring is one of the major flaws.
There's too few things for agent to do, and there are too many routine things for those agents who have 20+ players. And as said it takes too long to "complete" a dot.

Also, after that point there's basically nothing for an agent to do but sit & watch.
Not a thing.

This was a half-good game, but I guess all the things combined => it lead to GLB2.
Which I never really started playing.

they should have a glb "season without a multi" like the day without an immigrant thing. To see what happens.

I bet mexicans would lose jobs

Seems like it would be easy to do some kind of cloning.

Just copy an existing build onto a new player. Maybe allow it from retired dots. Maybe only for dots you've built, so you can't just copy someone else's build.

Like if you're on a team and you're building an OT. If the other OT quits, you could clone your existing OT, and keep building from there, so the team doesn't have to go belly up.

Maybe another player on the team has a retired OT of the same level range, or maybe someone knows another agent that wants to join with a build of their own, they could clone and build up.

NGTH of course, but it'd be nice. It sucks when an entire team has to reset because of losing a couple key dots.

Um, I'm gonna guess you don't play GLB2 so please don't take this wrong but what you're asking for is exactly what I posted about (probably confusing as hell but I tried). Anyways, like a Free Dot, you get a special 'pickup dot' that you can build extremely fast. I think a bit of changes would still have to happen for it to work here... #1, we don't have 'pickup games' to play so we'd have to do that differently.... probably simply choosing a specific 'age' you want for the dot, then getting the TP's for the amount of time that would normally pass in such an instance as well as all boosts up to the selected age. This would STILL let you 'create' the dot (meaning you would have to both pay for all the boosts as well as manage the build as you create it). I don't think the 'copy and paste' method would work here, however the METHOD to quickly build a dot exists already (which is why I posted about the pickup players) and it's that METHOD you could transfer here... with changes as I said.
I simply think we have the ability already available so it should be easy to make it work here along with certain changes. The reason I mentioned the pickup players from GLB2 is that it's an already working code. Transfer would/should be simple... but to fix it so it works here would call for SOME things to worked in. Things that would/should be easy enough. And easy is why I mentioned it because I really don't think WG is going to put much (if any) effort into something such as this. But, perhaps, if they looked at something very much like what everyone is asking for... which already exists in GLB2... then maybe, just maybe, they might make something like that work here. It wouldn't be 100% like what everyone is talking about but the end result would be the same... players you could create very quickly and use right away.
