If I had to guess I'd say it has more to do with where the blitzer starts from. LB's generally start somewhere near the O-line and center of the field where CB's start from the outer edges. Since there's no quality way to gauge WHEN disguise blitz fires, you're left with the success of the play to determine whether it improved your chance or not and I can only say that it "seems like" the CB's get ignored by the blockers more than the LB's do. Not very scientific, I know.
