I was thinking some means for an OC to create a hurry up offense in their AI. Even better, the ability to use a 'slider' for how much time they will elapse between plays while on offense.

So either you can intentionally stretch the clock (give perhaps a small chance that you'll get delay of game penalties if you set to 'max' slowness as well as perhaps a greater chance your opponent jumps offsides) or you can hurry it. (greater chance your O-line creates an offsides, but increase slightly the stamina used per play on Defense (and offense, but not as much) ...

Essentially give the offense more of a chance to control the tempo of the game and their attack.

I'm not sure how to simulate it best, perhaps a slight vision penalty to the defense to go along with a stamina penalty, etc or maybe even a slight chance for the defensive secondary to be 'out of position' IE a random x,y coordinate value distance from where they should be according to the defined defensive play.

Offense of course gets a slight stamina penalty as well, maybe make the routes run a bit more sloppy but not much.

This would open up a new set of strategy needed for both OC and DC coaches. Maybe you want to play a scripted set of plays at the start of the game with the intent to wear the defense down and get the essential first score, then switch to normal clock management. Maybe you've fallenbehind and you really want the plays to kick off in as rapid a succession as possible in order to try to close the gap in score, etc. Needs to be plusses and minuses for both sides of the ball but the slight advantage should be for the offense.

This would also give 'Stamina' as an attribute more reason to exists and be used by players. Since the stamina hit for both sides would be substantial. (Again, slightly more for the defense since the offense can still substitute in receivers/backs, even linemen right at the end of the preceding play but the defense wont know what is coming so they wont be able to swap in personnel as often leaving players on the field)

Don't know if its been suggested prior, wasn;t onthe first page of posts, thought I would throw it out there.

a slider would have been really useful. i always hate watching a team that is losing by 200 then go into hurry up mode.

but the game is all but dead, so no changes can be expected

IMO... The entire sim is a hurry up offense. Thats a large part of the reason scores are so jacked up.
