How about a league where there's no boosting?

Lots of owners run their teams all by themselves with all of their own players, but can't keep up with the other "outside player" teams that boost on a regular basis.

If there was a league like this, then all teams would be even and winning would come down to tactics and player building... not boosting.

Try peewee leagues

I don't know of any Underground Leagues that are still in operation. Here's the ones that existed:

League Underground (casual AIs) - ran from S12 to S40
Regular League Underground (full AIs) - ran from S23 - S37. Folded into MLF S38.
Monster League Football (full AIs) - ran from S32-49.
Iron Man League (full AIs, 15 man rosters) - ran from S24-29.

I was the commissioner of Monster League ... interest in no/no leagues just seemed to dry up as the community shrank post GLB2.
As was suggested above, I would suggest checking out PeeWee.

I see the Pee Wee leagues and the teams are still separated by lvl3-6. Also it's only for 1 season?

official no boost leagues are NGTH because there's no money in it for them. nowadays, there's not enough players for the real leagues let alone niche leagues

I have always said this, however they do have to make some money so if you create a "no boost" player you should get 0% refund....same with the CEQ, no refund, that way they are making something off of them. It would open the game to a lot of new players imo....It's hard to recruit anymore, butif somebody could play in a league like this fairly cheaply it's decent enjoyment.

I'm sure you'd see a lot of folks signing up for a ~61,000 flex with 0 refund league ... toss in the lack of plateau as well, and you're talking a drain not quite as bad as PeeWee with full boost + rental CEQ, but close.

The unofficial no/no leagues drained out 800+ flex at zero refund per season from the owners, but nothing from the dot builders. That obviously doesn't work.

Simply making it where CEQ couldn't be used in the league, and keeping 0% refund on dots built for it ... would drop the cost per season to around 1650 zero refund flex ... which would be on par about with the loss from making 5 glory position booster dots, 8 normal position ones, or 16 OL/K/P ...

Or for a better comparison, it would be right around where actively developed MMOs charge for a subscription per season, of about $16 ...

people are money, just do a google ad sense. to cover cost.

i still don't know why bort never hopped on my idea of adding a ticker to the header where we could pay flex to post messages and everyone would see them scroll across the screen

back in the day, cobra kai would've been dropping HOF flex packages every month telling everybody to sweep their legs or whatever

Great idea. NGTH. Running one of these leagues is too much work.

But they were fun for a while when this site was busy. Not enough people playing regular GLB to think this would even have a chance.
