It's called EFS and is the fantasy football equivalent of being an NFL GM. Cost is $50/year with no prizes, but it is year around and a shitload of fun for what works out to being $4/month imo. You can also trade draft picks up to 3 years in advance.
Convoluted rulebook can be found here: http://dynasty.efsports.com/ftp/EFS_Rules_2004.pdf
Basics
>53-man roster (8 man practice squad) that you control 12 months/year
>Start 24 players every game (11 offense, 11 defense, K, P) Only one is a QB one is a RB like real life...
>Position specific scoring, you can play players out of position with a penalty (within reason)
>Real-time Salary cap and contract year cap
>16 team league with position specific scoring
>NFL draft for ALL new rookie players
>RFA and UFA bidding
Anyone who is interested in taking over a team for the long haul is welcome. This is especially cool for people into the NFL draft as you can see how your favorite players develop. My team's league has 5 teams open we are looking to fill. Me and 3 other current GLBers are in this league (Bonecrusher Bronson, timpjynx and mystikalilusion)
======================
I of course can go a lot more in-depth later as far as the tools you'll have to improve your team, and any other questions/tips I can answer. Overall it's a lot of fun, with very little time commitment necessarily needed (in-season free agent bids are on a 2-day clock, off-season is a 3-day clock I think).
The "Avg In" column is how many points per game they got last season, and "Pos Rank" is how good they did at their position. As an example an "avg in" of 19.56 and a "pos rank" of 4 means he scored 19.56 points/game, and was the 4th best as his position in the NFL. They are 16 EFS teams, so if its a spot like HB, the top 16 are good starter value, a spot like DE it is top 32 just for reference. You start a realistic 11 offense, 11 defense, 1 K, 1 P. Last year the best teams in our league averaged about 430 points/game, with the worst team coming in at 315 points (just for reference).
I wouldn't worry about Salary cap or years available, as none of these teams are in salary cap hell. If you click on "simple view" near the top of the page you'll go to a simpler screen which also shows all draft picks for the next 3 years.
Right or wrong, people generally value CB, S, DT, Oline, K, and P less than other positions, though a significant portion of your points still come from these spots. QB is #1 with ILB being #2 most valued, but spots like OLB, DE, HB, WR, TE are still very much valued.

Any questions let me know in this thread or via PM. If you DO want a team PM me so I can get you in contact with the EFS for a sign-up link.
