Holland Pinoy All Stars vs Barcelona Conquistadors
This should be a pretty good game to watch. Holland is looking sharp despite some not good private scrimmages results while Barcelona is not looking good after two regular season games.
If Holland can somehow decipher what's going on with their run defense, then they advance to the next round easily. If not, then it will be a tough one especially with Barcelona's rush QB going bonkers on their first round game.

Prediction: Holland Pinoy All Stars over Barcelona Conquistadors; 24 to 21


Dirty South Wrecking Crew vs Gridiron Dynasty
DSWC is off to a rough start while Gridiron hit a stonewall in their second game. This is a quick rematch for these two teams, we saw them play in week #1 and Gridiron had to go overtime to get the win.
Both teams traded body blows until Jorden Reagan pulled off the huge run in overtime. I would predict that these tourney game will follow the same script but may have a different ending this time.

Prediction: Dirty South Wrecking Crew beats Gridiron Dynasty; 17 to 14


Hispania Pride vs Paris Smexies
Hispania Pride is looking very dangerous this season, they've had an impressive preseason and was sizzling hot in their first round game. While Paris Smexies seemed to have stumbled off the blocks though they did play two of the better teams on Elite.
Hispania has a very good run defense so if they can somehow get good field position when their offense gets on the field, they will have the edge. The Smexies relies so much on their run offense especially with their rush QB that if this type of offense gets scuttled they have not much to fall back on.

Prediction: Paris Smexies beats Hispania Pride; 10 to 7


Brazilian Farmers vs Hostile Royal Takeover
What can we say on this match? Just that good luck to Hostile Royal Takeover because its seems to be that the Brazilian Farmers are in their playoff form that it will take a huge effort for their coordinators to just keep this game close.

Prediction: Brazilian Farmers owns Hostile Royal Takeover; 33 to 10


Houston Gamblers vs Sheps Bulldawgs
When checking their preseason and regular season games, both teams seem to be blowing hot and cold. This is going to be unpredictable match up though, Gamblers was mighty impressive last season so I give them the benefit of the doubt.

Prediction: Houston Gamblers over Sheps Bulldawgs; 35 to 17


All The King's Men vs Black Hand
Ok both these teams have an impressive array of coordinators and GMs and not to mention owners that have been on GLB since the dawn of the dinosaurs!
Both teams do not game plan, totally ignore their games and simply just are content to be on sleep mode till their dots get to be pro level bound.
So lets just take a nap on this one!

Prediction: All The King's Men beatzzzzz Black Hand; 24 to 21


Corpus Christi Illegal Aliens vs Jericho Walls
CCIA had a tremendous run last season and I hope to see them get over the hump in beating the better teams on Elite. While Jericho Walls seems to be unstoppable yet again this season.
If CCIA can somehow muster enough offense against the staunch JW defense, they can keep this game close then hope that their defense stop that power rush offense of JW.

Prediction: Jericho Walls destroys Corpus Christi Illegal Aliens; 33 - 3


Great JPEGs vs Vienna Ritterbrüder
Based on their preseason and regular season games, Great JPEGs have improved by leaps and bounds this season. Their offense and especially their defense have been quite stellar.
Vienna Ritterbrüder also is really impressive in their preseason and regular games, their power run offense is looking mighty unstoppable again. This will be a really good game to watch!

Prediction: Vienna Ritterbrüder tops Great JPEGs; 27 to 24

2nd round results from 07/26/2016 games:

Black Hand beats All The King's Men; 10 to 9
- Both teams showed some variety on their offense but still showcased their strength which is power running. Black Hand seems to be slowly awakening from its long stupor that they may flex some muscle in their league games as well as in the tourney.

Hispania Pride upends Paris Smexies; 24 to 17
- Hispania's strong defense effort from their previous league game carried over to their tourney game as a result they pulled off an "upset" against the Smexies. They were able to shut down Dusty Rhodes from inflicting any type of damage. Despite strong defense effort from the Smexies, Hispania's rushers did enough to get to the end zone three times. Both team's defenses were really sharp, both team's had to rely on their offense lines to give their rushers cracks for them to push thru.

Holland Pinoy All Stars crushes Barcelona Conquistadors; 94 to 7
- Holland's run defense was pretty sharp in this game. Except for that lone long gallop by Frightened Rabbit they were able to contain Barcelona's rushing game. With the running game held in check, Holland's pass rushers were out in force together with the secondary that limited Barcelona to 26 yards in the air. Barcelona's defense was just dominated Holland's offense that was just razor sharp today.

Houston Gamblers dominates Sheps Bulldawgs; 31 to 7
- SPL #2 teams were having a good day upsetting their SPE #1 counterparts and were hoping to go 4-0 but Houston had something to say about it as they dominated the Bulldawgs. Houston controlled the time with their power rushing game and never let the Bulldawgs' offense on the field. With the Bulldawg's offense scuttled, their defense tried to come up with big plays to contain Houston. They didn't have that many because Houston's offense line was in their zen zone that Shep's defense line can't break them in their trance.

2nd round results from 07/27/2016 games:

Dirty South Wrecking Crew got past Gridiron Dynasty; 16 to 13
- A close win by DSWC gets them to the quarterfinals of the tourney. DSWC was sort of coasting along in the third after going up by 7 but then the crazy fourth quarter. Gridiron was able to get an early field goal to trim the lead down to 4 then after a couple of quick possessions DSWC ate up nearly four minutes of the clock then hit a field goal to up again by a TD. Gridiron answered back with a quick TD that was setup by Jace Vryn's Prodigy pass to Kytheon Hero of Akros where they gained 64 yards where Tunski HB just had to get 2 yards to get to the end zone. With the score tied, DSWC chewed up the clock again and Aata Matta Ka hit the go ahead field goal. I was waiting to see if Gridiron will answer back but after a Jorden Reagan rush for a loss, DSWC's pass defense came up big with an interception Stone Mojo on a Jace Vryn's Prodigy bad pass to Doctor Mertz which was harassed by Sack Show. Good win by DSWC!

Brazilian Farmers shutout Hostile Royal Takeover; 16 to 0
- I was predicting a big margin of win by the Farmers but probably were tired after playing Jericho Walls in the morning. Or I should credit HRT's pretty good run defense that slowed down the Farmer's three headed run attack. HRT could have pulled off an upset here but Brazilian's defense was on point and never allowed HRT's offense any breathing room.

Jericho Walls crushes Corpus Christi Illegal Aliens; 23 to 6
- In another SPE #1 game, Jericho Walls mustered enough firepower on their offense to get a win after that big day game that they had against Brazilian Farmers. Corpus Christi defense held Jericho's offense to a stand still in the first half but failed to muster enough ammo on offense to seize the opportunity for an upset. After the 3-3 in the first half, they scored 20 points to pull away for the win.

Great JPEGs upsets Vienna Ritterbrüder
- This was running game vs running game, which defense breaks will lose the game and just for today Vienna's tough defense gave way to an upset win by the JPEGs. Both teams didn't do much in the first quarter aside from a fumble by Vienna's power back, both teams were content in just strolling down to midfield then handing the ball back to the opposing team and then stroll back to midfield and re-do! Then in the 2nd quarter, after a brief FG exchange, Great JPEGs put up 10 more points and held the lead going to halftime. I thought Vienna will come back strong in the second half but I was wrong, JPEGs put up 10 more points and held Vienna's power run game by the throat and never let go of it. Despite a punt return TD, JPEGs pulled off a stunning upset over Vienna.
