You would expect for what the military spent for those 'toilet seats' that they would be heated. Anyone that's served on a Navy ship will tell you heated seats would be HIGHLY preferred over what they have there.

Now I get it. Those expensive 'toilet seats' were installed in the hot seats as the Navy didn't want crap everywhere when the sh*t hit the fan proverbially. I was going to say biblically but that's not quite the thing most people do in that moment.

No, what he means is that heated seats (which did NOT go to the Navy) would be preferable to the prison-style stainless steel ones.
Then again, the ship I was on was a holdover from the Vietnam era (since decommissioned thankfully) and the newer ships may have it much better. One would hope at least.

Even on the new stealth ships?
Seems preposterous, but not at all surprising.

Well that's not any better than being in the 'hot seat', being in the 'cold ass hell' seats! I like my bleacher seats thank you very much, especially after they have been rinsed clean with water.

I got out before those ships came on line. The only ships I even suspect of having different styles of seats would be the Subs. In fact, I suspect they don't even have seats (as we think of them) because having one accidentally 'slam' down while during a silent run would be like ringing a bell for any poor sonar operator. Other than that, it's about 'durability' and nothing beats solid steel/aluminum for that. Only issue is whatever that ambient water temp is, guess what temp the seat is?
