and it's the "what you did" part that both of you are missing. again, never once did i debate him on his terms, nor did i ever say anything remotely close to that. what i actually said was that mimicked his tone. again, 'tone' and 'terms' are not the same word. there are lots of dictionaries online if you're still confused.

also, half the reason why he got so upset with me was that i wouldn't debate with him on his own terms. so not just wrong, but exactly wrong.

Yeah. Once he takes a stand you're not going to move him and trying to move him just makes him mad. If I disagree with him, I do so and am done because pushing it and pushing it... you might as well be poking an angry bear. He's not gonna get happier.

Usually the angrier bear is the one that gets shot first because they irritate/anger everyone around them.

Edit: Though I have been to lots of different parks and did recreational activities there. A couple of my favourites: Ueon Koen,
Imperial Palace East Gardens; le Jardin du Luxembourg, Jardins des Tuileries; Villa Borghese gardens, and many parks and gardens in Florence.
