The winds have change have hit casual pro up as the last two champions have switched conferences. That's about the only item newsworthy from the offseason outside of Rube's transgender surgeries are going well and he'll be changing "his" name to Ruby in the coming weeks so be on the lookout for that announcement. Now, onto season 52 and it looks like most of the league swapping is out of the way. If not, this will not be re-written.
WESTERN CONFERENCE
Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - HOOD went 11-5 last season and lost in the finals to Denmark 27-13. The HOOD has made an appearance in the last four title games and have split by winning two (and for those that struggle with math - lost two). HOOD will be the power team here as the CIRCLES are just trying to field a team, the TETS and Rock City have been a little disappointing and I'm not certain the two new teams will be pushing the top teams in the conference. That's it, just write a HOOD a ticket for the finals (you heard it here first).
Full Perky Tets - The Tets went tits up last sesaon eeking into the playoffs with a 7-9 record but did capture a BS first round win over the CIRCLES. I thought they were primed for prime time last season but fell short of my expectations. Dmet decried after a 97-31 loss in the conference title game that he was through manning the defense (who can blame him - am I right?). We'll see if the offseason has cooled him down some and maybe getting back into the swing of things will get the Tets back on track and into another championship game.
Detroit Rock City - Rock City went 9-7 last season so you have to wonder why ole BB has them at number three in the pre-season rankings? Well, I'm thinking the Tets will have learned some lessons the past two seasons and adjust accordingly. If not, the two will flip flop but Rock City has the potential there beating both HOOD and Denmark last season. However, the ingredients don't always taste right and they can struggle as well as flurish. Look for DRC to make a push for a top 1-2 finish this season and try to get to the third championship game appearance (0-2 to date).
Sofia Spiders - I'm going with the old salty dog vetern CP coach to guide his team to the promised land. The last time in CP for the Spiders was anything but successful as they went 0-16 in season 48 and were not very competitive. New team and new season has .spider fired up for his return and as he told me "I guarantee we'll make the playoff and beat the crap out of any team that happens across our path." Strong words for the Spiders and will see if they're bite is as loud as their bark.
Baltimore Crimewave - The Wave have mad the trek back to the CP with the last appearance in S40 where they went 7-9. Welcome back to Top and Poppa. The Wave were always known for a strong running game and by the looks of it they'll be trying again to establish that reputation. Like the Spiders, they'll need to do some proviing against some of the establishment but I have no doubt this team will be pushing the others for a playoff spot.
DIABLOW CIRCLES - As much as I'd like to wish my team being good this will be the final season for the CIRCLES and we'll be doing it with a thrown together roster and some bad chemistry to kick the season off. Those things usually spell disaster as an owner and this will be no different. We don't have very high expectations entering the season but we'll give it a whirl and see if we can get a few wins in the process.
EASTERN CONFERENCE
Denmark Dragons - Denmark is the defending champs but are they going to be welcomed by 'Zilla and BM? Only time will tell on season as they look to win back to back titles. That feat has not happened since season 46-47 when Running Gag won three in a row (45-47). Yeah, I'm sure you love the history lesson. The Dragons did change of some of the roster but I'm guessing for the better and a repeat is certainly on their minds. I look at the Dragons to repeat the success of last season as they push for back to back titles.
Hoodzilla . - 'Zilla stormed into the league last season and played well going 10-6 and getting to the conference title game where they lost to BIG brother. Big brother is no longer there to hold hands so 'Zilla will be on their own. They should do just fine with QB Fran Tarkenton leading the way. 'Zilla should be pushing for a top playoff seed and will look to push past the conference title and meet big brother in the title game - something we've not seen is a league dominated by a network.
Bier Markt - Last season was just a pain for me with BM. I just couldn't get them to click in anyway finishing at 9-7 with a first round playoff loss. This is likely Markt's final season in the Pro's before hitting reset and starting the climb back up. I was off in my prediction as I thought the game would go away by 12/2015 but the casual community has proven that wrong. Now, it may not be here when I get the team back up...oh, back to BM, we'd like to make a push for a title game showing and hang that third gold around our necks.
Rockwood Rollers - The Rollers had some ups and downs in the first season finishing at 7-9 but they got some wins against some solid teams beating HOOD, BM twice, and the Monkey Spankers twice (how RDMS is not in CP is beyond me). Now, they need to clean things up and beat the rest of the teams "they're suppose to beat." This may yet another season and case where the Rollers have a losing record and stumble into the playoffs (they did nearly pull the upset in R1 last season against HOOD). I don't discount the fact that this team could be pushing for a top three spot but it won't be laid out on a silver platter for them.
Durham Blue Devils - The Blue Devils finished 2-14 last season in the West but the two wins came against the East where they now reside (Rockwood and Zilla). That was two playoff teams next season. Now, if Grey can get the rest of the roster sorted out (looks like they need a few dots) they could rise up from the ashes of last season and attempt to make a playoff push. Help Grey and Co. out if you have a dot sitting around and get the roster filled.
Houston Vikings - I'd call the Vikes the long shot here to make the playoffs but with anything in football you've got to play the games and any team can come up and surprise you. After all, they have one of the top punters on the planet (yeah, I got a dot with the team so they'll at least get some motivation chatter on my write ups). I do know kfd will give it his all and that's half the battle right there.
BB's TOP FIVE
1. Denmark Dragons - You've got to beat the best to be the best.
2. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - Four straight title game appearances.
3. Hoodzilla . - Conference title game last season but with a strong contingent to make a further run this season.
4. Bier Markt - Wo is me is we fall flat on our face again.
5. Full Perky Tets - Have the roster but can they get it done on the field.
Game of the week - hey, no shame in dropping a game against a Regional Pro Casual Competitive #4 team.

I have dots on six different teams - someone get me some gold this year!!!
