Has anyone out there ever received an MVP for one of their players but were denied the season long special equipment that goes with the award ? It happened to me, and I would like to know how commonplace it is for this to happen.

The reason given was this, and I quote, "The MVP endorsement gear isn't guaranteed to be awarded to the person who wins MVP. I believe it is the top 5 who are eligible for the gear. It looks like another player who was in the running for MVP won the gear."

We, the people who play this game, and consequently pay their salaries, have no say in setting the criterion for the MVP award, they can do whatever they want. So why do they, after giving the award, take away the reason for having the award by giving the equipment to a different player ? They will, of course, will not answer any request I make for a dialogue further explaining their reason in not awarding the equipment to the MVP winner. And, I have no recourse because I'm not allowed to PM any of the staff with a complaint. Why? I have no idea, but my guess would be that it involves arrogance in some way.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game, so please don't suggest I quit. I've been screwed out of SPs, BTs and training points in the past that I've chalked up to the inability to alter program correctly. But this takes the arrogance to a whole new level. At this level, a human decision has to be made to actually screw somebody, and I take offense because I've done nothing wrong.

I'm pissed at them because they did what they did, I've never complained before.

It's very common. They changed the equipment to a lottery to reduce the incentive for stat-padding. The equipment should always go to the MVP, what they should have done is have the MVP calculation be weighted by team record to prevent stat-padded players on bad teams from winning it.

they needed to also get rid of the team contribution aspect of the mvp. i've seen far too many players get 100% of the carries so of course they end up higher in the rankings than they should.

there are so few leagues now, I don't know why they just dont manually confirm the mvp. if its legit, they get the mvpeq. if they scammed the game, then the mvpeq goes to the 1st player that wasnt scamming the system.

Of the 792 rushing plays by the team during the regular season, my MVP player (running QB) had 219 of them, or 28%. I hardly think that qualifies as stat padding.

And I still don't get it about the stat padding. If you, the management, wants to stop the people doing stat padding, you change the criterion, it's not rocket science, so they shouldn't have a huge problem with it. In any case, I can't be accused of stat padding, so what else, if anything, can they accuse me of ? Anybody?

Yeah. Back (WAY back) when I first got here there was a LOT of bitching about people 'gaming the MVP gear' and so I believe it was changed to a lottery system as a simple fix. I agree with you a little... I don't think that was the correct response to the problem. What they should've done was simply stop giving MVP gear. I mean, being one of the top 5 MVP's is kinda cool enough in it's own way without giving stupid gear as incentive for people to try to 'game the system'. It wouldn't effect anything by simply getting rid of the 'MVP gear' completely. IMO.

No, no, no. That thought never entered my mind. I was just saying that couldn't be the reason they didn't give me the gear, and asking what else could they come up with to deny me the gear.

And, I do tend to agree with not giving any gear for the MVP. I'm arguing the principle more than anything.

Their arrogance tends to mask their IQ, but not completely. That's probably why Catch left, whether voluntarily or forced doesn't matter, I'm sure he had more sense of fair play than the rest of them put together. Its too bad such a great game has to be run by arrogant jerks; not respecting people that have legitimate complaints and not giving them an avenue to express their grievances.
