Yes this game is in decline and will never be what it was. But that doesn't change what it was, which is the best online football game BY FAR ever made. In no other game could you gather team of other real peoples players and work towards a common goal. In no other game do you get the strategic diversity found here.
I for one am very glad I stumbled upon GLB 8 years ago. And while GLB is of course not the NFL, my understanding and love of football has prospered due to my experiences here.

It got here by not being static for a long time. There were some bugs that were no fun but, overall, the changes that were made over the many, many, seasons of BETA testing are what kept interest in the game. Where failure occurred was twofold. #1, they stopped making small adjustments in the game once it got out of BETA and it became very static. It's like taking the same math test over and over and over. Eventually you can do it in your sleep without studying... or caring anymore. #2, they created a rip-off version of the SAME GAME (called GLB2) and put into THAT game changes that could've (and some that SHOULD'VE) been installed here... which split the user base badly and drained the pool of players that built and ran the teams that kept the interest levels high.
I agree with Wise... it's been a long fun ride... but I have been to GLB2 and find nothing of interest there... and MB doesn't interest me either. So, like many, once the flex is gone... then so shall I be. Not hatin... just sayin.
