Yes this game is in decline and will never be what it was. But that doesn't change what it was, which is the best online football game BY FAR ever made. In no other game could you gather team of other real peoples players and work towards a common goal. In no other game do you get the strategic diversity found here.

I for one am very glad I stumbled upon GLB 8 years ago. And while GLB is of course not the NFL, my understanding and love of football has prospered due to my experiences here.

So as this game comes to an eventual and inevitable close, I suggest all of you embrace the good times, the great memories. It is a much better way to remember the greatest online football game ever made, rather than with the thrashing sorrow of the end.

As I leave the game in a few days, thank you all for making this game so fantastic and fun, as it really is the people and the forums that are at the core of dotball enjoyment!

How did it become what it once was? Wish we could figure it out and do it again...still love this game and will be sad to see it go.

I hope we get some kind of warning that the game is ending rather than logging in to a 404 page not found cuz the game is gone and thinking 'GLB is just doing that again' so I waste more time trying to log in then become randomly and unexpectedly sad that day

Hey avn I think u misquoted me, but I'm sure it was on accident.

Fwiw for never being a top5 glb oc, I was pretty decent. Had the #1 scoring offense in WL last season and had quite a few high ranking ones over the years. And I think my WL playoff record is around .500

Not too important in the end though. I'm very happy with my journey and experience here, even if I was a try hard who is awful at dotball.
