From first glance it seems like a last attempt to save a forgotten game, on the flip side the player market has 800+ pages of active dots....

This season (49) is the second season under this structure, There might be 800+ pages of active dots but the player pool has really dried up and seems to continue to be drying up.
Take a look at the PLFT's forum, really slow so far this season but the off season hasn't officially started as of yet.

800+ pages and each page is what? 15 (probably off on this). that's at least 12000 dots - seems high but thats roughly 200 teams.

I think the game had all of the wrong additions made before moving out of beta, and they should go back to adding things to it instead of focusing only on new games.

It was done as a attempt to boost competitiveness.

People wanted to play better competition, or at least I'm assuming. So they cut teams per conference down so there is less CPU teams. It's working partially.

I thought it was interesting at first, but it got old quick. I guess it's all they can do until we get more players, which we probably won't so it's a wasted effort.

I personally hope the game doesn't die since I only got here a little while ago, but it seems like every season the forums get a little less active and people say they're getting bored or taking a break.

The Forums in FFA don't count,when they do then the game is done.

They did indeed.

They still could be. People just have to post. The crappy moderation that used to regularly kill threads here is largely gone.

I have looked at the other two games and I think Bort should come back and put this one back into Beta and add some things to it and advertise for it. Its still the best game hes made.
