Because GLB included this feature then idiotically did the following;
#1, not allow complete freedom of choice because when you roll for AEQ you are literally forced to accept whatever random color the computer gives you (unless you want to spend BT's to change the color... so stupid ) which makes your original selection of color worthless... plus you cannot change your color after the initial selection which would be cool so as to allow you to change your equipment colors to match the TEAM colors.
#2, considering almost ALL teams have a 2 color scheme to them, why not allow 2 colors on our equipment? Vikings fans could have their dots sport team colors... Saints... Cowboys... But no. You get 1 color only and yer stuck with it.

I use to care about the colors but anymore I just choose black (because ya have to chose a color) and forget about it from that point on. If I COULD TRULY choose my equipment colors, I'd wear silver and black because I bleed it.
