I wasn't around. Can you people that found this site first regale us in tales of the first season?

There was no roster max size, there was no trade deadline, players' XP was based on the number of plays per game. Players had to buy EQ with salary.
There were no tokens or training points. There were some specific multi training combinations, and you had to pick from a drop down list instead of training what you wanted.
There was value in playing on less than "hard" in tactics.
As mentioned, the offense and defense were the equivalent of casual tactics.
There was no world league for everyone to obsess over. In fact, there was no end game at all.
It was amazingly free, wide open and fun.
Imagine playing the game with no level cap end build math min\maxing.

Sounds like when I signed on. So in other words, S1 was like the first 8 seasons or so...

Shit I don't even remember. I just remember my first team I affiliated myself with. The Hong Kong hustlers of South east asia!
Oh and I do remember all the minor leagues were based on region. Bbb, a, aa, aaa, and pro leagues for each of the 8 regions. Lots of teams full of human dots!

In the early seasons teams used to trade players for cash and load up on cash, you used to be able to give players money for equipment through bonuses and giving equipment money was often the only way to get people to sign. Then they'd just leave at the end of the season anyway and you'd be SOL on that money you gave them for equipment.
