Release The Kracken! Or the Equations!

By that I mean its time to reignite interest in this game and the easiest way to do that would be for Bort to post the calculations that the game makes for all the various game events, blocking, breaking a block, passing, catching, etc.

Yeah "we'd all make clones if you do that", well sometime soon the option will be "we all left" if you dont.

So release them and spur a flurry of new dot creation as people try to "exploit" the new equations and argue about the various theories and see how their dots work out in practice.

Its better than us all plodding along doing the same thing we did five years ago, but now with less dots.

This is a really solid idea - I can understand why this didn't happen in the early going, as there is the excitement and mystery of wanting to figure it out and such. But with no real influx of new users, this would not only be a fun sign of appreciation/respect for the current user base ("hey, you stuck around this long, now you get to know how things work"), but would also likely lead to an uptick in player creation as we try to put to test our newfound knowledge, which is good for WG.

If some of this info is in a reference document, this is a no brainer, both sides win. If the only place this is truly kept is in the code, I can see how it would be pretty time consuming to piece it together in an easy-to-understand format. I still think it would be worth it, but if that's the case, it's highly unlikely to happen.

But really, they should consider this. it's a potentially easy way to get a small spike in interest among the current userbase, and outside of the time needed, there is literally no reason not to do it.

Yeah, no

I'm actually in favor of doing almost the complete opposite.

change the equations and then all current info becomes obsolete, so everyone is on the same learning curve again

in essence recreate the mystery, and this time don't give away any info

From the little things Bort said during the chats, I'd guess a lot of us would have to spend some time brushing up on our math to understand them.

The real question is if the curtains match the carpets.

I'm a lot closer to this camp than the OP's camp, that's for sure.
