Probably not considering they can hardly make a league with them.

Most WL/Pro teams don't even have farms anymore. They just reset and climb back through. lol

Not anymore, no. Obviously, since we barely have enough teams to fill up any leagues.

And I doubt if, even back where there were, you would've had enough to make a league without the long-build teams in the mix, because the three-and-out teams were primarily trying to pick up easy hardware. So if you'd made insta-dots and removed the bulk of the long-build teams, a lot of the three-and-out teams would've lost interest because they're not going to pick up the easy trophies.

If free dots had to go through the current build method, it would provide some fodder for the minors, but it would certainly reduce number of players in the minors. However, with the smaller leagues coming next season, fewer players will be needed to fill them.
