Is this something people would be interested in?

Of the current problems in this game at high levels, one of them is a dot supply issue.

What if we had the option to extend plateau up to 5 seasons (push decline back from day 480 to day680) for some amount of flex/season? Most aggressively priced you could do the cost of 3x boost/season (300/600/900) with 0% flex return on that extra plateau cost. If it was priced less aggressively then 1.5x boosts/season (150/300/450) with 0% flex return on that extra plateau cost.

Benefits
1. Relatively low resources to implement by WG.
2. People burn through more flex/dot that isn't refunded, so they need to buy more flex. (WG makes money)
3. Flex is tied up in players for a longer time so peeps need to buy additional flex for other players and it's more confusing to budget for (WG makes money).
4. More players at top levels, game exists longer (WG makes money).
5. People get to hang onto the dots they like for a longer time (10 seasons of plateau instead of 5).
6. Recruiting becomes much easier and teams gut for roster reasons way less (more teams means WG makes money).

============================

So, is this something people would be interested in? It isn't the insta-gratification the insta-79 dots would be, but it'd still give you a much longer and more competitive plateau, while still keeping the early career player building/rpg elements.

Looks good to me. It seems to me maybe I am wrong but GLB1 is still the cash cow. I would also think that WG would do some things to maybe put some juice back into it. If they want our money either they will make some changes like the above or come up with ideas that get us to spend our money. I have yet to understand the companies thought process on lack of changes to this point.

Wise its well thought out but like everything else I am sure will gather not a drop of steam.

Fwiw I believe admins that more flex is bought for GLB2 than GLB1 at this point. They moved off of GLB1 because even with their changes the game had plateau and was declining to the point of not being profitable as their main cash cow. Whether the decline is due to the natural progression of a browser games life, or due to mis-steps is a different type of conversation, but I think it's safe to say WG wouldn't be moving off of GLB1 and focusing on other things if it was still the cash cow.

For better or worse, admin's view those still on GLB1 as bad/low value customers. The user base is largely toxic, the customers refuse to use new products WG produces. Many live purely off of recycled flex which was already purchased, so new purchases are low.

Imho WG should be looking at ways like what's posted in the OP, to make the GLB1 customers into good high value customers again, by enabling them ways/reasons to spend more money. If you just ignore GLB1 and treat all users like 2nd class citizens, there is a 0% chance those people change from low value customers, and it just feels like a waste of a lot of potential revenue.

Extending plateau another 5 seasons would severely impact the already almost fully depleted minor leagues. To the point where it doesn't even make sense to have anything besides peewee (if there is even a niche for that anymore?) and the pros.

Not helping plateau competitiveness because you are scared of hampering an already uncompetitive minors system doesn't make much sense. The minors exist to farm up plateau dots...

You two are really out of touch. lol

That may have been true like 2 years ago. Now there's a much different mentality amongst a large portion of the userbase regarding minors.

Well, what did you think was going to happen after Cornblade bought WG from Bort and DD?
