Why would you get flex back for ownership of team. As an owner your responsibility could be very limited if you get coaches and cfo and they do the work. In fact team ownership is the only reason I am still here

If you are like me, the most important thing you can do with owning a team seems to involve not winning at the highest levels of the game.

My only point is in a game where it takes like $3,000 worth of dots to field a full plateau team, complaining about $4/season team ownership is just ridiculous.
Long-standing good owners keep people playing and make Bort money, so imo it wouldn't have been a bad idea for him to give free ownership to people who have owned their team at least a few seasons, and field competitive teams. Still that is an idea for 5 years ago, and again, back to the first sentence of my post.
Paying $180 (more like $140 with flex purchase discounts) to own the Hedgehogs since season 2 (~7 years real life), is a pretty fantastic deal tbph.

Again, it's not a complaint about the COST... it's about (in my mind anyways) getting some of your investment back WHEN you finally decide to sell the team. And the reason for that is the exact same reason that GLB used for Dot BUILDERS. If the logic of refunding flex at the end of a Dot's career was so that that flex then could be used to build MORE dots, then why NOT the same thought for team ownership? I seriously doubt there's more than a couple of team owners who have NEVER built a single dot. Most probably built dots first before owning a team... others probably did both at the same time... and, especially lately, the rest are handing over the ownership reigns to others so they can enjoy some dot building now. In any of these cases, more personal flex means MORE DOTS. For all those teams sold without any return of flex, that's a significant number of dots that did not get built by those former/current owners. Hell... you could even increase the cost of team ownership quite significantly and people would still buy teams if they knew some of that flex would come back at the end of the ownership.

Team flex cost has never been a real barrier to entry since it is so cheap. Cheaper cost with no flex return is better for the consumer than a higher cost with flex return. Regardless you either bought a team understanding that flex is not returned, or you were confused. To think you deserve a partial refund of an already purchased product that was a good deal is ridiculous. Not to mention glbs high cost high refund model for dots is bad both for sales and customers, and as such your desire to add the horrible model to team ownership is laughable.

with so many teams not being managed at all these days, i would raise team ownership cost to 2000 per season, but you get 1500 worth of free dots for that team. it would be interesting to see how everyone allocated their 1500 worth of players.

How about you get a free player with your team as long as you keep the team and continue to renew the ownership. That wouldn't be so bad.
