For the record I don't think this should be deleted because GLB should encourage fantasy football, and possibly partner with a fantasy football site so both sites can get extra users. By posting a perspective GLB partner I am just trying to help the game

EFS is one of the coolest online things I've been a part of for maybe the last ~9 years. It brings fantasy football strategy to a whole new level as you have a full NFL roster and a team including all positions. Also you get to bid on restricted+unrestricted FA's as well as having a real draft and the ability to trade current and future picks.

Basics
>53-man roster (8 man practice squad) that you control 12 months/year
>Start 24 players every game (11 offense, 11 defense, K, P) Only one is a QB one is a RB like real life...
>Position specific scoring, you can play players out of position with a penalty (within reason)
>Real-time Salary cap and contract year cap
>16 team league with position specific scoring
>NFL draft for ALL new rookie players
>RFA and UFA bidding

COST

$50/year (used to be $75/year). There is no longer any prize for winning. Please understand what you are paying for is the entertainment value of running an entire team, which comes up to $4.16/month. Best $4 a month I'll spend all year tbph.

Rule Book

That thing is pretty damn convoluted. This is a 16 team enhanced scoring league (which means they try to standardize scoring between positions somewhat). An updated one for 2015 is supposedly in the works.

I'd be able to answer any questions in this thread or via PM, but if you are seriously considering this, I'd suggest you you read the rulebook.

TEAMS AVAILABLE This is for League 9 aka "Walter Payton". Buy a team page: http://dynasty.efsports.com/efs/EFSFootballServlet?OP=teamselection

If you click "simple view" you'll be able to look at your draft picks for the next 3 drafts (some previous owners have traded some away). You can edit team names obviously.

A-K-Rowdies http://dynasty.efsports.com/efs/EFSFootballServlet?OP=detailedview&LID=000009&OID=10

Doc Holiday http://dynasty.efsports.com/efs/EFSFootballServlet?OP=detailedview&LID=000009&OID=13

Questions welcome.

Yessir. 14/16 right now but the new league year (RFA and UFA) don't kick off until we are filled. I figured some FB-loving GLBers with money they blow on the internet are the ideal market.

4 other GLBers (including myself) are in the league, so you'll have some peeps to talk trades with via chat/pm if you want, which is always nice. Rest is all e-mail/gchat for trades.

It's kind of difficult to navigate. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for with purchasing a new team.

When looking at the roster using the links provided (detailed view) you will see the blue "position rank" column, this is what they ranked overall last season at their position. #1 is the best. #32 should still be starter quality. The "Avg In" column is how many points they averaged this season when playing the proper position (avg out is you can play people out of position for less points). If you click any of the blue numbers on the far left side it will switch the view to a game-by-game breakdown, as well as their avg points for the previous season (2013).

This matters because sometimes people can have down years due to injuries, so knowing how many games they played or what they did the season before is good info.

RFA pick will be there if your player is out of contract years meaning he is in restricted free agency. If someone else bids on that player and you decide not to match the bid, you'll get that round draft pick in compensation (0 means no pick).

Simple view is good to see since you can see your picks for the next 3 drafts. AK Rowdies has all their picks including pick 3 overall (and an extra 3rd) so if you plan to build via the draft they'd be a solid pick.

Doc Holiday is way short on draft picks, though they do have more talent which you could try to trade to recoupe picks if you really wanted. LB'er is a premium position (I'd say LBer/DE/QB/HB/WR/TE are the premium spots, with ILB and QB having the most value). Doc has vey nice LBer with 3 young awesome superstud OLBs, and 4 ILB's who are traditionally all very good top15 guys, but all got sidelined by injuries.

===

Just some thoughts, questions welcome.

Ok finally figured out how to navigate the damn site!!

How does the scoring work? Is it like a sim that just runs randomly?

It's based on nfl stats. Weighted different ways by position. Oline is all about if they start and their offenses production. Make sense? Rest is just stats and production.

The year around aspect is off season roster building similar to the NFL off-season.

Tons of specifics in the rule book linked.
