So, after the finale that changed some things up in the Seeding’s, yes, CFM jumped from #9 to #6 in my Power Rankings. Why? We can argue all day whether or not they are truly the 6th best team in the league, perhaps they’re not, but when you beat the only undefeated team in the league in the final week of the Regular season, likely the team that wins the League Championship, you deserve to be recognized for it, enjoy it while it lasts. In reality, SEA is a 2-Team Race between CPW & ADW imo, I’d be stunned if either of those teams were not in the SEA CCG; then again, we’ve seen some shocking upsets in the past. In Oceania, while I view it as a 4 team race at best, I genuinely think any of the Top 8 are capable of winning, Oceania has been a stronger conference for a long time, this post season, that won’t change imo.

So now, looking forward to the actual games, here is the matchups we’ll see in Round 1!!!

#1 vs. #8

Cobra Kai Never Dies (8) @ The Cult of Personalities, Wu! (1)Bye Week

Austin Packers (8) @ Razorback Nation -- Bye Week

Neither of the 8th ranked teams have any hope going into week 1; one is a CPU team and the other is simply out matched. I do think that in the coming seasons Austin could be a really good team in O-Pro, but this is just not that year. Oh and fyi, while I respect their ‘leadership’, Cobra Kai was dead a long time ago.

#2 vs. #7

Springfield Isotopes (7) @ Arkadak Deadliest Warriors (2)

Oregon Ducks (7) @ Williamsport Soul Reavers (2)Bye Week

If the first matchup between these two teams was any indication, this is also essentially a bye week, but let us not forget Oregon did give WSR a run for their money last year in the regular season. There is a possibility of an upset, I’m just not predicting one, but hey, after what CFM did, who knows.

Honestly, until Guppy brought it to my attention, I hadn’t realized SI actually loaded up for the season, they weren’t very full when this season began. While I’m not expecting one, this is an area where I could see an upset. I will say this, assuming this league is still around next season, look for SI to dominate SEA.

#3. Vs. #6

Halifax Harpoons (6) @ Dublin Dragoons (3)Bye Week

Stockholm Black Death(6) @ $in City $yndicate (3)Bye Week

#4 vs. #5
Berlin Moustaches (5) @ OffTopica Word (4)Bye Week

Christchurch Fighting Maori (5) @ The Hitman’s Crew (4)

After upsetting Razorback Nation in the final week of the Regular season, all bets are off in this game. There’s a real chance that THC doesn’t come out of this one with a victory. I’ve always appreciated how modest Jughead is about his team but the reality is, this team finds ways to win when you least expect them to.

GG Sin City!! When your power RB can break tackles with a spin move, then immediately break another with a hurdle then take it to the house......that is impressive (or improbable, but this is a sim). Overall, to many broken tackles, which led to each of your TDs and not enough offense on our end. You did knock loose 5 catches as well, which even in GLB, that is rare in a somewhat even match up. Good luck moving forward as it will get more difficult after us for sure.

Good luck to all the remaining teams!
