Pac-Pro Playoff Preview & Power Ranking

Power Rankings

1. Razorback Nation
2. Williamsport Soul Reavers
3. $in City $yndicate
4. Cult of Personalities, Wu!
5. Arkadak Deadliest Warriors
6. The Hitman’s Crew
7. Stockholm Black Death
8. Dublin Dragoons
9. Christchurch Fighting Maori
10. Oregon Ducks
11. OffTopica Word
12. Austin Packers
Everyone Below this point is irrelevant
13. Berlin Moustaches
14. Halifax Harpoons
15. Springfield Isotopes
16. Cobra Kai Never Dies

Needless to say and my power rankings reflect as such, the Oceania Conference is once again the strongest and it’s really not even close. That’s not to say that CPW or ADW can’t compete with us, that’s simply to suggest that we have had a stronger strength of schedule and more competitive teams throughout (less CPU teams). Imo, the Conference Championship games will be devised of four teams from the Top 5 unless a crazy upset happens which is never impossible. I also view $C$ as the odd man out, but they’ve pulled some upsets in the past, they’re plenty capable imo. This is one of the few times in the recent past that I’ve felt the majority of the teams going to the playoffs, genuinely deserved to be there. In a better league none of the bottom 4 would’ve made it to the playoffs; though to be fair, in a better league there’s a real possibility that the bottom 3 or so teams in Oceania wouldn’t have gotten in but it is what it is.

So now, looking forward to the actual games, here is the matchups we’ll see in Round 1!!!

#1 vs. #8

Cobra Kai Never Dies (8) @ The Cult of Personalities, Wu! (1)Bye Week

Austin Packers (8) @ Razorback Nation -- Bye Week

Neither of the 8th ranked teams have any hope going into week 1; one is a CPU team and the other is simply out matched. I do think that in the coming seasons Austin could be a really good team in O-Pro, but this is just not that year.

#2 vs. #7

Springfield Isotopes (7) @ Arkadak Deadliest Warriors (2)Bye Week

Oregon Ducks (7) @ Williamsport Soul Reavers (2)Bye Week

If the first matchup between these two teams was any indication, this is also essentially a bye week, but let us not forget Oregon did give WSR a run for their money last year in the regular season. There is a possibility of an upset, I’m just not predicting one.

For ADW, they get an easy advance to R2

#3. Vs. #6

Halifax Harpoons (6) @ Dublin Dragoons (3)Bye Week

Christchurch Fighting Maori (6) @ $in City $yndicate (3)Bye Week

#4 vs. #5
Berlin Moustaches (5) @ OffTopica Word (4)Bye Week

Stockholm Black Death @ The Hitman’s Crew (4)

This is actually the very first game that I think has the genuine possibility of being competitive. In their regular season matchup the difference was 3 points. In this game SBD needs to start a little quicker and possibly create even more turnovers than they did in their first matchup and they’ll have a real chance to win. They could also use more out of their rushing attack and their return game could really help them by gaining better starting field position. THC needs to protect the ball better and get more out of their rushing attack imo.

Predictions

Southeast Asia

CKND @ CPW
SI @ ADW
HH @ DD
BM @ OTW

Oceania

AP @ RN
OD @ WSR
CFM @ $C$
SBD @ THC

you might have wanted to wait until after week 16 to do SEA.. since before week 1, I've known that the final SEA seedings would be:

The Cult of Personalities, Wu!
Arkadak Deadliest Warriors
Dublin Dragoons
OffTopica Word
Halifax Harpoons-UAA Member
Springfield Isotopes
Berlin Moustaches
Cobra Kai Never Dies

the only things that could have messed up the final standing was if Springfield had beaten Offtopica (38-45) or Halifax throws the game against Berlin.

Eh, it won't matter much in SEA, honestly, it only has 4 relevant teams. And there's a real chance the Top 2 make it to the CCG anyway. I will adjust the OP though according giant changes in seedlings that occur. If i do that I'll make a post here letting you guys know.

wtf. a human team that loses to a cpu team should be immediately kicked out of the playoffs. ok, i'm fish enough that i'll admit that i was wrong about the seedings.

Did RZ lose to Christchurch in order to avoid any chance of facing Stockholm in the 2nd round???

I sure hope not as our first game was not even close. Anyhow, we now get a 2nd chance at Sin City. If nothing else we should have fun......but we won't be able to talk about it afterward.......

Got it wrong - we won the game to avoid any chance of facing $in City $yndicate.
