Hello everyone! I am Jack Riley, Owner of the Williamsport Soul Reavers, currently stationed in Pac-Pro. It has been part of my routine for a very long time to do weekly write-ups for the league that I am in. This season it’s been a little less frequent due to a new addition to the family, but this week I decided to go outside of my own league and share my write-ups with other leagues. With that said, I chose a few games that I thought looked good and wrote some stuff down about them. Hope you enjoy them!

I try to make the assessment’s accurate based on previous games and tendencies, not having watched any of these teams this season, hopefully I was able to do that.

Berlin Shockwave @ Stewart Ballers

Going back their game against TSW, Berlin could not get an efficient passing game going and their rushing game, while effective was simply not enough. Their defense did force two turnovers but they also let TSW’s passing attack throw all over their secondary. Going back to their game against TSW, Stewart played an efficient offense, less than 200 yards passing with a TD and no interceptions, 200+ yards rushing and 2 TDs. And their special teams performed well. On top of that, their defense was able to create a turnover, which ultimately was the difference maker in this game, a “stolen possession” if you will. So it is a fairly simple logic for me here; the team that runs the most efficient offense is going to win this game. This means both teams have to come out here and not turn the ball over; Berlin needs to establish a better passing attack. This could be a real dog fight until the end.

Prediction: Stewart Ballers 30-17

Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps @ KC’s Metro Choppers

TSW’s best matchups were mentioned above. In each of those games they turned the ball over, however against Berlin, they ran a more productive offense. KC’s best game occurred last week against ELE; it was both impressive and worrisome. KC gave up 9 Passing touchdowns, though they did secure 1 Interception. In that game alone, they gave up 742 yards passing. The deciding factor…was that ELE couldn’t run the ball to save their life and KC scored 5 TDs on the ground and 2 in the air and they were ultimately saved by their Return game; Dexter MacPoker returned the ball for 429.5 yards and TDs on just kicks, and another 138.5 yards on punts with a touchdown.

So…the key to this game is… TSW should just pass the ball, all day, as long as they can do it without turning the ball over. TSW’s special teams has to play lights out because KC has a proven difference maker returning kicks and punts for them. On top of that, TSW has to do a good job against the run. KC…better fix that secondary and keep those special teams scores and rushing attack touchdowns coming!

Prediction: TSW 31-28

East Lawrence Eagles @ Crimea Sea Dragons

East Lawrence went insane last week in the passing game..nearly 800 yards and 9 Touchdowns and the sad part is..they still lost the game because of an inability to stop the run and giving up 3 big returns on special teams. CSD lost their last game by 17 points to AoS; They did a poor job of scoring points offensive and couldn’t seem to stop the AoS rushers from scoring TDs and of course by “rushers” I’m talking about their running QB Neil “rush” Peart. In this game, it’s not about not having the ability to do something specific it’s about actually going out there and doing it. ELE has to do a better job on special teams and my lord…CSD’s Secondary better come to play. CSD also has to do a better job offensively of getting down field, whether it be via the pass or the run and scoring points.

Prediction: East Lawrence Eagles 24-21
