LOL, you guys. If you're sure GLB Classic is really so much better than GLB2, what's the harm in someone trying out both to find out for themselves?
Dude... most of us have. to be fair, I didn't really stick around for a real long time but... I also kinda didn't want to. I like this engine better... even if it needs help it's still pretty good. My only issue with the whole damn mess is burnout. (because this game no longer changes enough to keep me interested.) And just going to GLB2 isn't gonna solve that since it's not nearly as manual (hands on) as GLB1 is. Here I kinda gotta check in almost daily... even if it's just to be sure things are going the way I have them set to. There it's much more auto-pilot and I just felt myself loggin in and then wondering why.
You guys gotta know when you built GLB1 that you built a game that is highly addictive to us OCD types. The amount of minutia you want to engage in is entirely up to the player but you can get damned deep. GLB2 is NOT that kinda beast and, frankly, is a bit boring to many of us. Those remaining here (in GLB1) are probably here because they're a bit OCD themselves... even if they won't admit it. And those very same people aren't gonna find GLB2 interesting enough to make them stay... so they come back here... as I did.
