This game died when it became more about math than football. People obsessed by building 'perfect' built players, all well and good but in the end not a lot of fun.

This game died when they banned boltz ect...
boltz in Suggestions was classic
I loved sitting up half the night and watching sjmay and mal flame each other.
Don't even get me started on those awesome owner vs. agent threads.
oldskool was funny as hell in his efforts to keep it real.

It isn't about who was funny in the forums or who was the best troll. I know a lot of players that never came on the forums at all.
If the forums had anything to do at all with it, it was because the assholes and the trolls chased people away instead of helping out answering questions.
The game died when it got stale to the old players and wasn't new user friendly. Bort screwed by listening to a select few vocal fools on the forums and killed the game for everyone else.

Whether its true or not I feel a lot of what you said there is true.
I'm one of the more ... er-hm more mature agents here ( I think?) and find a lot of the banter/craic immature and pointless. Then to make things worse some moderators who's job it was to stop that kind of attitude and bullying did nothing, now they are gone (I hope) but the damage is done. That said so are most of the stuck-up little assholes as well.

That's the point though, this is a football MMORPG not a Maths MMORPG. I got attracted to GLB because I love football, (and as it happens am not very good at maths either)
