Or my suggestion, make CPU players more competitive. What i always wanted to see if there is a chance of creating CPU dots via player build option, with SAs etc... but with a price of 100,200 or 300 flex per season(based on position) to keep the specific CPU dot on the team. Helps teams filling the usual rare 3-4 spots in the off-season.

turn it into purchasing groups of dots per team and not one dot per purchase ...that would spread the userbase around
suggestion
purcahse portions of a team in categories such as:
Outside Coverage, Dline, Oline, RBs, Receivers, QBs, ST, etc
...or they could start selling teams of dots instead

LOL I said this like 4 seasons ago. This would work ESPECIALLY for OL and DL dots. Buying a whole team was pretty obvious then as well.

...I made many suggestion threads about various versions of it about 20 seasons ago among others, such as:
*having a set fee per season and an agent promotion system from season to season which was determined by being graded on a points system by your team members, with outside influences to your promotion/demotion from your team's results for that season ...players promoted/demoted would go into a recruiting pool where spots would be made available by the outgoing agents that were demoted from league to league
...I still lurk these forums for a sign of GLB actually getting it done right but alas all we get in reply was a hosed down weaker more basic version of the same thing in GLB2 ...I guess that we will have to wait until GLB3 before the creators start to see sense in how they construct this community order of things here coz the way things are and always have been going is derailing one of the greatest treasures of this game by not trying to keep the community together especially now that the numbers have been dwindling ...lol I guess they assume that we'll just move onto GLB2

Kill GLB2, and move them here. This is by far the best product of the 3 games. Even the layout of GLB2 is horrendous.

Not only are they assuming that, they clearly want it to happen. They've made a concerted effort to promote both GLB2 and MB here on GLB1 with announcements and forum posts, but I can't recall a single time they promoted GLB1 on either GLB2 or MB. In addition, both GLB2 and MB are both on Yahoo Games, but I haven't seen GLB1 over there. And yet GLB1 continues to pull the most web traffic BY FAR of any WG site based on some stats someone posted on another thread on here. They have a goose that is laying golden eggs, and they are bound and determined to strangle it so they'll have more grain to feed to the geese that lay copper eggs. Bizarre.
I have a bot on GLB2, but I only keep him going so that his team won't have to find a replacement. GLB2 is boring and horrible, and when I'm done with that bot, I'm done with GLB2. And while I want to stay active on GLB1, there just isn't enough activity left here to justify the effort to play this game the way I'd want to play it.

When you put it that way, it does make us sound pretty dumb.
I guess I would just point out that the people actually running a business base their decisions on slightly more information than some web traffic stats someone posted in a forum thread. Or, following your metaphor, I suspect that the person that owns the goose and actually gets to see the eggs has a better idea of their makeup (and the goose's overall health) than the person who reads about eggs on a website.

in other words, GLB1 is not bringing in money, and the people playing MB and GLB2 probably do spend money
so basially GLB1 has the potential to be the golden egg, but nobody is buying, so GLB2 and MB are the ones getting the money.
with 0 money refund on MB and 30 on GLB2, and 70 on GLB1, people clearly burn though funds on MB and 2 and if they enjoy it at least a little bit they will spend money like we all did here

Why does PW still exist?

So to the admins GLB1 is ded, pretty sure we knew that already. This is by far WG's best offering, hopefully you guys figure out a way to revive this goose because even though the eggs may not be golden anymore, a lot of us still enjoy them.

I think my point was that it's complicated. Since this is the Internet (and the forums are the Comments Section of the site), I know plenty of people are often inclined to assume that the stranger they're interacting with is a dum-dum, and that comments that conflict with what they understand to be true are unintentionally false (Idiot.) or intentionally false (This idiot's a liar!)... Not accusing anyone here, it's just something that comes up a lot.
I agree, it's a much sexier narrative that there's this phenomenal game with unlimited potential but the stupid idiots that made it just won't give it the love it deserves. (As much as you'd like that to be true, trust me, the people who earn their livelihood from these games would like it more.) The reality (that the browser game market has changed in the last seven years, that the game, as much as people love it, is maybe not quite as marketable as we'd all like to imagine it could be) is much more mundane. There isn't much fodder for gossip about a handful of adults calmly deliberating, then deciding to work on Game A instead of Game B. Reasonable people 'doing their best'? Booooooorrrrring! ...But that's the boring reality, at least from what I've seen, having been here for the last five-and-a-half years.

I keep posting it because I don't know how else to say it... If you like a game, whether it's GLB or anything, play it. If you like it enough to spend money on it, go for it. There are no plans for regular changes to GLB the way there used to be. If regular changes are an essential part of your enjoyment of a game, or if a lack of regular changes is a dealbreaker for you wanting to play a game (or to spend money on it), that's a bummer, but it's understandable. Either way, as long as people are still playing GLB, GLB will be around and we'll continue to support it.
