Keep in mind, there are a lot of users who don't post in these forums. It doesn't mean they don't enjoy the game, but who needs the stupid trolling when making a suggestion or asking a question? Hell, it is so bad, we even had people in charge of running the game logging on with multis doing it!

That's what turned a lot of new users off to this part of the game.

Maybe it's time to reduce the pro leagues and make it somehow competitive again.

Euchrid already mention that there is talk about condensing leagues in another thread but it won't be in season 46 as they want to be able to give us ample time to let us know and that they want to get it right.
The thing is you could look at the pro leagues at the beginning of the season and see that condensing the leagues needed to be done at that time

we need more agents and dots imo

It's pretty pathetic only planning for 1 game a season in pro....

Because there's only a couple of option available for new people to learn how to play the game:

1) Try to sit through those old videos and remember everything they tell you

2) Ask a question in a forum and get trolled most of the time

3) Read through 100 different user-generate build guides that are mostly several years old and try to figure out which ones give you the information you need. If you need one specific piece of information and you're too new to know exactly where to go, best of luck to ya.

4) Get lucky and catch on with a team run by an experienced user who doesn't mind teaching you how to play the game and build a dot the "right" way.

I've been here for years, and I still struggle finding out certain bits of information when I can't remember the exact answer.

This is why they put instructions in board games and make reference and strategy guides for video games.

the biggest issue I have with WG is that once glb became "stable", they completely abandoned it. there are still dozens of great suggestions out there that could improve the game. by contrast, i went to play Civ5 the other day which is about the same age, and found out that again they had added so things to it.

55 man rosters was a terrible idea because there's no trade offs as you now have all the players to do whatever you want. which also means that if you dont start with a team from rookie, its almost impossible to put together a competitive team from scratch at the higher levels. and who wants to spend a year building a team these days when so many think the game wont even be around in a year. while an interesting concept, very few people actually care about the lower leagues, so finding a way to make players faster should have been a priority years ago.

glb should have forced roster limits on all teams. how dumb is it that teams have these huge offensive rosters and almost no defensive players, especially at safeties, and punter/kickers? get rid of the 40 man roster minimum, and at least force teams to have a minimum roster by position that is playable. seriously, who wants to pay to see plays like this http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2682598&pbp_id=3282308

and there are still plenty of plays that can be added, and ST is still as dreadful as its been since the early seasons. whatever happened to ST being 1/3 of the game? where's the sideline plays to kill the clock? delayed blitzes? blocked punts? so many things left that could improve the game.

i always wonder how much those games pay for their late night tv ads. and how much did they pay kate moss to dress in a sexy warrior outfit....lol
