The state of Glainsvelle is the most sports crazy place you could think of. The parents all did something. Baseball, soccer, basketball, wrestling (HEH) you name it. But the one thing that had the town in a uproar twenty four seven, was football.

Glainsvelle has extremely high participation numbers in the sport at all levels. On game day, the people of the state that aren't playing, part of the band/drill team flood the stadiums. The state is fun loving, friendly, and no one can BBQ better than the people that live here. All the athletes want to win a Championship, want to be something great, so that when the sport is over they can remember the legacy they had left.

Only so many kids have made it through the trials and been able to participate in in the "Network", as represenitives of the city. The Network's notable representive, the first to compete, was known as "Jordan Hayes". The state was looked at as a joke, no one taking it seriously in the slightest and claiming the Network should be closed, funds going to other things like education. But overtime, the Network slowly started to produce greater talent.

Deandre Shells was The Network's second notable representive and was one of the fastest players to come through. He was an effective enough Returner to silence the non believers that The Network actually was working, and not a waste of time. Shortly after Deandre Shells, more and more players started proving the Network's worth. His little brother Sean Shells snagged his way into history along with the likes of Kari Perro, and up and coming Bowie Highschool alumni Mason West. His other little brother who was on the Freshmen team, Corey Shells, as well as Mason's little sister, Erica West, both proved their ability by showing off they were skilled as Returners as well. The list goes on., with Barry Newsome being the first defensive player to ever win medal from The Network.

Bowie Highschool fed the network with it's Varsity team, consisting of several speedy players and perhaps the greatest Quarterback Agent Kagushun ever produced, Charley Bruce. They fell short due to lack of defense, but Charley Bruce is a face that the entire state knows. Perhaps being only the second player (The first being Mason West) to be so widley known and supported by just about everyone.

The state's Network representive next season will be St. Kline High, Home of the Panthers. It will be fielding players to represent from the Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels. Agent Kagushun is confident that this up and coming class will be the one that wins medal. And the kids young and old look up to Tonika Shells, the player that has made it further than anyone else.

"We're family down here, no matter what!"- Tonika Shells,Bowie High School, Class of Season 41
----------------------------------------
"We did the best we could. Don't sleep, next year is going to be a lot better." - Rosalina West, Speedster WR, Bowie HIghschool Varsity,Class of Season 44 after 93-49 loss to the White Devils in the playoffs.

"The tradition down here. Teachers and students, everyone told us "good luck". Before the game, me and my family take a picture. After the game I'm crying, tears in my eyes. And my dad (Erin Bruce), walked over and told me he was proud of me. That loss hurt, I'm taking all the responsibility, I was the only Quarterback out there throwing for us, wasn't I? But the next generation has got something special for Glainsvelle football, I promise."- Charley Bruce, Quarterback, Bowie Highschool Varsity, Class of Season 44 after 93- 49 loss to the White Devils.

After that devestating loss to the White Devils, many expected the Bowie Bulldog players (aside from Charley Bruce of course) to be to busy crying to say much else (case in point, the Gulf Coast Mafia loss 56-77 skunk). Along with quotes, we were able to get a few of the full interviews.

Charley didn't say much. But you all know Nova loves to talk, so we talked to the speedster after the game. In which she was held to only 4 receptions for 40 yards.

Reporter:" So what's your opinion on the game? Do you think you were targetted enough? "

Nova:" Hell yeah I was, I just didn't catch thte balls I should have. No big deal. I was targetted 14 times, I didn't get up like I should have. But I had a good regular season career too. I got to play with Charley, like I couldn't ask for anything better. He's gonna have a statue made of him from what I hear. And Tonika came in constantly throughout the season and taught us what she was learning down there with St Louis Tip Drill...really, it was all a good expierence."

Reporter:" So you blame no one..?"

Nova:" Nah, I don't. I blame myself, I suck. We all sucked. It's why we aren't in the playoffs anymore. It's why most of us are only now just eating Thanksgiving dinner, because we didn't want to eat after the homecooking we got on the field yesterday. Nasty."

Then of course, the always hype beast we will always miss, Riana Reggie, the Special Teams MVP that finally lined up at CB spoke.

Reporter:" Riana, we saw you missed tackles throughout the game. Many of the touchdowns were due to your inability to tackle..."

Riana:" Woah, I tried. I did what I could. I mean, the defense wasn't doing enough so I had to start. I made as many tackles as I could. Yeah, I missed some. But there are others who miss more. And those HBs aren't finishing with any medals anyway, I"m finishing with about 2 or three. So, still the best."

Reporter:" Do you think it was a good idea to put Jamie in at Returner over you?"

Riana:" I mean, it was the best that we could do. They didn't want me getting tired. Jamie ran back what she could, a lot of our blockers couldn't play STs because of stamina issues. Next year coach Bowie will fix the problem. I'm also still the best Special Teamer, so.."

Reporter:"Would you say your Returning was more of what you did, or what your blockers did?"

Riana:" It's like you morons don't even watch the film. It's all me, Riana. No one throws a block. The blocks are always on slow fatties that couldn't catch my sexy ass in the first place if they tried. Swear these fatties sweatin' bacon grease, and I ain't gettin' any of that on my cleates."

Reporter:" Now that football is done for you, what's next?"

Riana:" You never retire from football here. You're always contributing in this state. You still purchase team merchandise, go to the games, help out the upcoming players. I think there is some serious, serious sleeping you're doing on this next gen. They're gonna be better."

Reporter:"Better Returners then you?"

Riana:" Not in their wettest dream."

And then we had this annoying one with Raymond Rodgers, who like his father did when he played for the BUlldogs, doesn't like answering questions.

Reporter:" So will you go into coaching like your father, now that it's all over?"

Raymond:"Maybe."

Reporter:" So what are your thoughts on the next class?"

Raymond: "Yeah."

Reporter: " Do you think they have any offensive weapons?"

Raymond:"Maybe."

Reporter: " Will any of St Kline's teams make it far?"

Raymond: "Yeah."

Reporter:"Do you have any idea on what team, what players..?"

Raymond: "Maybe."

That's all for now. The Bowie Bulldogs first year was a rough one, now St Kline gets a chance to put a better taste in our proud states mouth. Let's hope the next crop of players is just as promising.

Oh, Tonika also left a message.

"Man, that state raised me. Don't give'em too much flake, a come up is happening. They're going to win something, I know they will. I'll just stay holdin' it down here in St Louis Tip Drill, but I'll go visit every now nad then and give the players pointers."

Just what you'd expect from the covergirl of the football crazed state.

Glainsvelle Rig Hotel
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/50/Therme_Vals_-_main_building_of_hotel_complex,_Vals,_Graub%C3%BCnden,_Switzerland_-_20090809.jpg
Knock, knock, knock...

The girl had her light brown hair tied up at the moment, still in her PJs as she yawned, walking over to the door.

"Who is it?"

In a husky voice that she would quickly remember..
" It's coach Toni Rolani. Can I come in?"
Cari sighed, opening the door just a little bit.
"Yes sir..?"

The Varsity Quarterback coach cleared his throat, ready to explain his reasoning.
"As you know, we told all of you kids to stay in the hotel while we go to handle your equipment, get your classwork, you get the idea. So, I've went around knocking on your peers doors, and no response. After about thirty minutes of knocking on door after door, I eventually went in to find -no- one was inside. So, I tried another room, same story. The same thing over and over again. Do you...happen to know where they all went?"

Cari bit down on her lower lip, she didn't want to sell anyone out..but if it came down to it. " Some went partying, some went shopping, they divided up on that.."

Toni's eyes went wide. " And if you knew, why didn't you tell us so we could stop them?Or..why didn't you go with them..?"

She shrugged. "I-I got kind of nervous about the entire thing...my mind was just so focused on staying, I wasn't thinking about anything else, sorry. I was hoping after a good nights sleep, I can clear my head of it."

Toni nodded. "Alright, thanks for your help. You're name is..Cari Stewart and you play..?"

She coughed. "Quarterback. I'm supposed to be on the Freshmen B team, 2nd string behind Lina Ford.."

Toni nodded once more . "Got it..take care."

"You too."

St Kline High Athletic Gym/Weight Room #2

http://saturdaydownsouth.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/clemson-football-weight-room.jpg

All of the players flooded in. Most were rubbing their heads in pain, others were drowsy, others looked sick..besides Cari, a few other players looked perfectly fine since they chose to do the right thing as well. As coach Toni stepped into the gym, in a loud barking voice that didn't sound the hint of unusual.

"Push up poisition. Everyone."

The kids slowly got into position, most struggling to hold themselves up due to a lack of energy. As the coach spoke.

"I'm not going to keep telling you all the -same- old shit over and over again. I can't tell what the hell most of you wanna do. You wanna party more than you wanna play. All kinds of crazy stuff has happened near that hotel at night in the past three weeks. And we figured ya'll wouldn't be stupid enough to test the waters, we won't make that mistake again."

There was some mumbling, clearly complaining.

"I wish I could be just a little more fucking calm about this, but I can't. When I have a room of five hundred fucking players and all but ten of you go out to do whatever the hell you want. This isn't a charity. We don't have to play you, we don't have to keep you. "

Changing to yelling, as he walked over to one player.

"I JUST DON'T KNOW, MICHAEL. THE FUCKING VARSITY DID THIS SHIT TOO, SO I DON'T KNOW. I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE OF YOU REALLY GIVES A FUCK, BECAUSE THE ONES THAT STAYED HERE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE GUTS TO TELL US THEIR TEAMMATES WERE OFF DOING STUPID SHIT."

Michael was silent.

"Get up and jog."

All the players shot up and began to run around the gym, jogging.

"Not gonna put up with this shit, not bout' to have it. Not bout' to have another class of busts and dissappointments. Five hundred is way too many. Way too many."

Michael, The Varsity QB tapped Cari on the shoulder. " You snitched?"

Cari bit down on her lower lip. "W-well..I didn't want to get in tro-" Her back was rammed into, causing her to fall right over. A nameless runningback knocking her over. " Snitches get stitches, bitch."

Michael shook his head, but contniued to run. Lina , the 2nd string Freshmen QB ran over to help Cari up. "Come on, you can't go lagging behind. We'll have to run more."

Cari was thankful, but still angry nonetheless. "I told you to stay...remember? We were supposed to watch film, scout defenses, go over the plays and the audibles."

Lina shrugged. "Partying sounded like more fun at the time. "

Cari sighed deeply. "We're less than twenty four hours from the season starting up. They'll be making cuts soon. No way all five hundred of us.."

Lina giggled, shaking her head. " We're the best they've got for that Freshmen team, we don't even need to practice. You just chose too because you just love doing the right thing!~ Coach will be all, Cari. Hit'em on the ten yard slant! And you'll throw that slant even when we've got track stars up the sideline."

Cari pouted. " The ones who do what they're supposed too will make the final cut. We started with over three thousand... I'm not taking any chances. I've gotten too far now. I'm gonna go far, and I guess most of the other people in this gym talking about me will watch me go far."

----------------------------------------------------------

STAY PUT
12/2/14

According to our sources, several of the football players were found breaking curfew and partying at a nearby house. And there was all kinds of things going over there, from underaged drinking to weed.

Parents of the players were clearly told not to respond to any of our questions, so we couldn't get even reactions out of them. Though we were able to stop Freshmen B team Head coach Alan Rice and ask for his opinion on it. They must trust him, since they allowed him to talk.

"I'm shocked you know? These kids are given such a big chance to make something of themselves, to represent their cities, their family. They can't just go blowing it on stuff like this. I'm pretty dissappointed in them, since we all know lots of things can happen at those kind of parties."

Reporter:" Did any player stay behind?"

"Yeah actually. Cari Stewart. Quarterback that works with out Freshmen B team group."

Reporter:" Oh, so that's why we haven't heard of her. She's a scrub...?"

"I wouldn't call her a scrub. I think she needs to be more verbal of a leader. It takes a lot of guts to stay behind when so many peers are doing their own thing like that."

Reporter:" She won't make the cut list, be honest."

"I think she's decent enough to make it."

That was about it, Toni(Rolani) thought it was getting a little out of hand, so he stepped out and told Alan to cut it. Either way, this is a huge problem. These players are clearly lacking discipline, and simply running them around the gym won't help much. One of the peers needs to lead, and it's just hard to believe that the Freshmen B teamer, who was rated 65.6 at the Glainsvelle Combine will ever have her voice heard.

3:40 PM

St.Kline Offense Bus, Freshmen B on the way to St.Kline Stadium
The players had been out of school for a while now, some taking a quick nap, some minding their own and listening to music, and most talking amongst each other. The Freshmen B were known as the "scrubs". No talents, only brought in to fill up the last team roster spots. Where as the other players were usually loud and hype, most of the B teamers were pretty calm. Finally, the nervous of the group, the third string running back but first string returner Jerry Jarrington spoke. Her voice shaky, as she fidgeted with her fingers. "C-Cari...why do the other players pick on us..?"

Before the Quarterback could answer, Edgar Yates, the starting running back burped loudly. Having finished his energy drink.

"Shit lil' Jerry, it's cus' we suck. We're on the B team. Like, you can't get anymore bottom than us. "

Cari flicked Edgar at the back of his head.

"Stop being a jerk. Well... they don't really like us all that much. I guess in their eyes we're scru-"

Edgar spoke in the middle of the brown haired girl's sentence again.

"Now don't you go lyin' to lil' Jarrington. We -are- the scrubs. The only thing that could make us feel better is if this school had a Freshmen C team. Then at least we could..ya know, not feel like the leftovers."

Connie, the starting slot receiver, rose out of her seat.

"Don't give a damn about Freshmen A or B, or Sophomore, or JV, or Varsity or whatever the fuck. Nobody can hold fucking Connie. I could route anyone the fuck up."

Cici Charles, the starting Cornerback chuckled.

"Get a few catches and now you're suppose to be the shit?"

Connie rolled her eyes.

"Cici....look. I could catch over you, your sister, your other sister, your brother, AND then I'd break your cousin's ankles all the way into the in zone. You couldn't guard Connie at the combine, and you can't guard Connie now. Because she's Connie. I make a DB fall just by coming off the line."

Cici rose an eyebrow, but Edgar couldn't help sticking his nose in it.

"If you so damn cold, why you up here? With the rest of us scrubs?"

Connie shook her head.

"Mistake by the coaching staff. But I know I catch better than you, butter fingers. Who needs your fat ass running the ball anyway? Three yards and a cloud of dust is so 1970."

Edgar was about ready to get out of his seat. It was his attitude that really got him on this team in the first place, as well as Connie's. But, Bummi Alexis, the starting undersized wide out yelled.

"SHUT UP. Damn. We get it. Everybody is on the damn B team, ain't nobody here for no reason. They can put whoever the hell they want on Varsity, they can move whoever they want up. If they ain't moved nobody yet, ain't nobody deserve to get moved up yet. How about we spend less time bullshitting and asking how we got on this team, and more time watching film? Studying plays? Edgar you the first halfback I've ever met that don't know which way to run the Iso we've been doing since peewee. We know you're a really good player Connie, now if you just stop being a little -bitch- about everything, maybe you'll see the field on V. Now everybody stop flexing so we can get to the practice field in peace. Unlike the rest of you, me and my sis are trying NOT to look like scrubs when we go out for seven on seven."

The bus fell silent for a little while. Cari simply reached over and patted Jerry on the head.

"Just because in their eyes we suck, doesn't mean we have to. We need to get out there and show them we can ball just like they can. But.."

She sighed.

"If we keep fighting like this...we're going to get embarrassed during this seven on seven session.."

-------------------------------------

SEVEN ON SEVEN
12/9/14

The St Kline teams will all be playing against each other in a surprise seven on seven tournament set to take place today. The coaches said this will help with team chemistry, and see where the kids stand. In order for the match ups to be challenging, there was no balancer selected. All teams will play all teams at least once, and we feel sorry for that B team that is about to be a punching bag for everyone else.

Aside from the surprise of the year, Connie West, younger sister of the hometown hero Mason West being on the squad, Cari Stewart can hopefully save this team from getting destroyed today during these drills. Her backup Lina Ford doesn't seem like she cares all that much, while the other players aren't even worth talking about yet. The season hasn't officially started, so a true Varisty line up has yet to be seen. Because of this, the match up should also show us if the pipeline is playing with something to prove. Either way, whether it gets ugly or not (It will get ugly for one side or another), the next match up will take place on Friday. This won't be the last evaluation chance, but if any of these kids are looking to get moved up, that would be their time to impress.
