Pacific Pro Showcase: Week 14
Razorback Nation @ Sumatra Seahawks
Unfortunately for Sumatra, this is a game they cannot afford to lose, their playoff hopes may depend on it. Oregon, who is currently ranked 9th has 3 games left against teams that could potentially defeat them (OTM, SBD, & CFM); however if they were to win 2/3 of those games, it would put a high level of pressure on both Sumatra and CFM. In that group is the favorite to retain their playoff spot as the 8th seed, maybe even the 7th seed. They have two guaranteed wins followed by a game against the Oregon Ducks. So, getting back to this game, really Sumatra has to find a way to not turn the ball over, create turnovers, and virtually shut down RN’s offense to win this game. That’s a feat no one has accomplished this season. RN just needs to keep being the best team in the league.
Prediction: Razorback Nation 45-21
Williamsport Soul Reavers @ $in City $yndicate
The Williamsport Soul Reavers are reeling after what could potentially be described as the biggest upset of the season last week at home against OFG. In that game the Soul Reavers threw 6 interceptions and saw their running game limited to almost nothing. Prior to the game against OFG WSR was ranked Top 3 in every category. Now, they’re 6th against the run and have the 5th best Rush offense, they’re Top 3 still everywhere else. $C$ is Top 5 in almost every category in the conference, however, they are not Top 5 in Passing Offense, they are actually the 4th worst team in the Conference in that category. WSR needs to turn it around if they intend to keep hold of the #2 seed which would certainly boost their chances of getting to the Conference Championship. Bottom line is, they absolutely must win the next two games for that to happen. For $C$, perhaps OFG was a ‘blue print’? We shall see, but being at home will have a huge advantage.
Prediction: $C$ 55-17
