Because with most WL qb's I've seen I have seen 160+ in their throwing... but when I look at other positions primary attribute like speed for example... Ranges from 150-155 is their a big difference in 160 throwing and 150-155 throwing?
Forum > Goal Line Blitz > Is 160+ Throwing A Must Have For A QB?
i can only assume since they get so many ALGs, why not push it to 105-110? I'll hit 107 with ease with my first QB.
I like this build - have seen WL QB's go less vision & conf and more agility and speed as well

On QB's, you can run out of things that "matter" at the end of a build. Throwing goes higher, because you can pump it higher cheaply due to better alg's (only 3 majors). Since its the single most important stat for pass quality, below 160 throwing is a sign of someone who isn't using proper build practices, or whom doesn't pump throwing first because they are on crack.

well its between you and me. maybe one day when we build the same type of dot at the same time, we will finally know the answer to the biggest question in GLB; "Who is the best dot builder in the game?"
i still think its you.

My 4 AEQ QB.
Ok so here's the more serious question. Is 163 throwing WAY much better than 160 or even 159... so much so that the time, effort, and SP's spent for the extra 3 or 4 on your throwing is FAR better than what secondary skills they could have enhanced, thereby enhancing the overall build dynamics? I get it that 160+ is WAY better than 155... that's a no-brainer. What I'm asking is if chasing the 165... 166... 167... 168... whatever is worth the COST it damages to things like more strength, agility (turn the shoulder and throwing accuracy), more vision, ect, ect, ect. ???

The other part of it is that you are going to get another +8 to your passing from VP if you take it high enough.
This was probably my best QB build:

Agility is pretty good for a QB, but you can't ignore passing, strength, and vision. Could have probably taken stamina a bit higher if I knew I was going to be a solo QB (he was paired with a RQB most of his life).

That's a given but still kinda doesn't answer the question of pushing for the small gains in extra throwing skill. Just imagine about everyone will do the VA thing right (yeah... there's always one or two idjits) so it's still going for that 3 or 4 more in the skill. Is a 159 still way worse than a 163 (before VA's)? Is trying for the extra 3 to 4 at that high a level already worth the huge cost in SP's or loss in training (other skills)? I've always shot for a 159 (or better) passing, and 100 strength but also a very high agility and vision as well and you cannot forget a little speed and enough stamina. Even Confidence should at least be enough for OTK if not 1st cap minimum. The more time (and sp's) spent pushing passing those few tiny bits more... I guess that's what I'm asking... is the difference GREAT enough to merit the chase?

That's still only 107 natural, which isn't hard to hit with QBs. And if you look at the one I posted his secondary attributes and SAs are still pretty strong along with good percentage gear too.
