Both of these teams are on an apparent rise, ADW, I have strong doubts in your ability to beat anyone competitive however; both of you, now is your chance to make a statement. I’m going to leave it at that for now, I won’t delve into statistics for this game because I genuinely feel the season has been skewed for both of you. Earn your stripes!

Springfield Isotopes @ The Dead Presidents
SI now is your opportunity to prove to me and everyone else you actually are one of the Top 10 best teams in this league; this is going to be your first competitive game of the entire season. A close loss won’t hurt you much, a blowout loss will plummet you, and a win in any capacity will vault you nearer to the top. This is really the first opportunity we all get to see exactly what your team is truly capable of. DP, you’re still a one trick pony, the question is can they stop your running game?

Kosovo Marshmallows @ ***Official*** Football Guys
Kosovo has the 10th total offense, 9th total defense, 11th rush defense, 10th rush offense and they’re ranked 10th in points scored vs. 9th in points allowed. They are ranked 4th in pass defense, they have that going for them. At 4-4 coming off of a solid win vs. Sumatra, they could get their name back with a win against OFG. OFG is ranked Top 10 in every statistical category except one, Pass Defense, they’re ranked 12th there. They have the #1 Rush offense, 5th Pass Offense, 3rd rush defense, and are 5th in Points scored, though 8th in points allowed. They got brownie points for their wins over Stockholm and CFM but they also lost major points with me with their loss to the Oregon Ducks.
What it’s going to take to win this game is one of these teams truly establishing their identity. They’ve both got to do a better job scoring with their opportunities and stopping the opposition from scoring. They who make the most mistakes are going to lose this game, it’s an obvious albeit likely true prediction.
Prediction: OFG 45-10
Christchurch Fighting Maori @ Williamsport Soul Reavers
CFM has got their work cut out for them this week. As predicted, WSR’s rankings softened a bit against a very good SBD team, but they’re still ranked Top 4 in every category in the conference. Their worst ranking is in Rush Defense, where they dropped from #1 to #4, they have the #1 Passing Defense, the #1 Scoring Offense, the #2 Score Preventing Defense, the # 2 Rush Offense, #3 Pass Offense, #2 overall defense and #2 overall offense. If you’re basing this solely off of statistics, CFM might be up against more than they can overcome. They are not ranked better than 6th in any category; offensively they are ranked 11th, 12th in points scored, 7th in total defense & Points allowed. Bottom line in this game, they’re going to have to find a way to shut down the offense of WSR and score points for themselves. If they cannot do that, they are going to be in for a very long day.
Prediction: 55-21 WSR
Outback Game of the Week
Bow Chicka Brown Cows @ Sumatra Seahawks
This game pits the 4th best Offense vs. the 6th best offense, the 3rd best defense vs. the 7th best defense and the 3rd fewest points allowed vs. the 4th fewest points allowed. The glaring discrepancies of this matchup is that BCBC is 5th in rushing to Sumatra’s 14th; BCBC is 9th in points scored vs. SS’s 3rd place ranking, and Sumatra is the #1 passing team vs. the #12 passing yardage of BCBC.
So defensively BCBC has to limit the passing game of Sumatra and create interceptions where as it would seem BCBC needs to get their rushing attack going and continue to limit the opposition on the ground. This should be a very physical, defense oriented matchup.
Prediction: Sumatra Seahawks 17-14
