Biggest Changes
– SI has moved up to 3 because they have remained undefeated, I still have strong doubts about how they’ll fare against real competition, which they have yet to face and won’t for a couple more weeks, but for now, I’ll give them the benefit of their record, remember though, week 10 is staring you Dead in the face; pun intended.
– $C$ got a move up with a big win this week over OTI, not because of who they beat but because they’re winning and who they’ve beaten in the past. However, my doubts are strong about $C$ as well, in the next 3 weeks, they’ve got two matchups that will likely determine the course of their fate in my Power Rankings.
– Sumatra also moved up this week with a big win over CFM; it wasn’t a blowout but it was a strong performance in which they looked very good. Defensively they stood very tall and came up with a huge second half. They continue to prove that they are true contenders this season.
– WSR moves up as well due to being undefeated; to be fair, we’ve faced no one worth mentioning, at all. SBD is going to be our first real test this week and we’re looking forward to it, a loss however could plummet our rankings, a win could boost them.
– Palembang is a victim of circumstance; you really haven’t played anyone recently and that is in large part because in SEA there’s no one to play, but the teams that were below you have and they’ve done well, this isn’t about something you’ve done wrong, but more about something they have done right.
–SBD you’re not reading that wrong, OFG is a team I’ve not been giving a ton of credit honestly and you lost to them.. I just can’t accept that as truth to your strength. You’ll have an opportunity to rebound against WSR but right now, you have no proven to me that you’re better than the other Top 6 teams.
– BCBC, you’re deserving of a move up, this rebound victory, imo, was a statement maker that needed to be rewarded.
– OFG I cannot overlook the win against SBD, however a loss to CFM upcoming would get you overlooked considerably. Consistency has not been a fond friend of yours but now is your opportunity to prove you can be that. You did well in week 7, now it’s time to put it all together and prove you can do it every week.
11. Cult of Personalities, Wu! // +2 – I’ve said more than once, I really feel like CPW is going to make a turn for the better and start to move up in the rankings. I really feel we’re starting to see that truth develop.
12. Christchurch Fighting Maori // -3 – You already know I think highly of your team but I can’t overlook the loss at this point in the season. The biggest catalyst to your drop here is your ranking within the conference. With OFG ahead, there’s an opportunity however to do a literal move back up with a win.
13. Arkadak Deadliest Warriors // +2 -- Given how the rest of the teams ranked below you have fared, I feel like it’s time to give you a shot at a higher ranking, maybe you’ll even earn it.
14. Colonial Marines // +3 – The teams you’ve lost to, I can respect that but I’ve also got a feeling that you’re going to finish strong and it’s come to the point where I feel you deserve a bit of recognition.
15. Malaysian Madness // -3 – I like you guys, I think you have the potential to be a really good team in this league, I just don’t think we’ll see that this year and unfortunately, after getting blown out against SI, you’re likely and another blowout loss upcoming, 15 is probably the best ranking you’ll see for the rest of the season.
Dropped Out
16. Kosovo Marshmallows // -2 -- I told you last week that you were lucky to be in my Top 15 at all and then you got blown out again.. You’ve been voted off the island until further notice.
17. Oregon Ducks // +1 Believe it or not I still think there is potential here, but it is only going to be seen at this level if you can manage to avoid demotion.
