Pacific Pro Week 7 Showcase
Southeast Asia Conference
Malaysian Madness @ Springfield Isotopes
M&M has done well for themselves this season but at least in part that can be blamed on the lack of competition. Springfield faced what I thought was going to be their first piece of real competition in week 6 and completely smashed OffTopica to bits. M&M you might be 4-1 but the reality of this is, I think your only shot at beating Springfield is creating turnovers. They completely exploded against OTW offensively and we not challenged at all defensively. In the one game that M&M did face that could be remotely construed as a challenge, they lost by more than 5 TDs.
Prediction: Springfield Isotopes 77-3
Oceania Conference
Kosovo Kryptonite @ Bow Chicka Brown Cows
BCBC is coming off of a pair of tough losses to SBD & CFM. In both of these games, Jerome Michaels VII had missed FG’s; offensively they did well but they simply didn’t score enough, they had to settle for far too many FG attempts and two of those were missed . Kosovo is also coming off of a three game losing streak; SBD, CFM, and a blowout loss to $C$. Two interceptions, a non-existent running game, and a ridiculous amount of missed tackles gave Kosovo no chance of walking out of $in City with a win. The story of this game here is going to be pretty simple in retrospect; BCBC has to stop relying on their kicker to score them points and Kosovo…well you’ve gotta find someone you actually can rely on…to do something positive.
Prediction: BCBC 35-14
Outback Game of the Week
Christchurch Fighting Maori @ Sumatra Seahawks
Sumatra got walloped last week against SBD; throwing 3 interceptions in the game which gave SBD critical scoring opportunities. CFM knows all too well about SBD, they lost that game too. They’re coming off of a two game winning streak where they’ve played really well, however, they’re not creating turnovers right now. Sumatra also had nothing going on the ground their highest rusher’s yardage was negated by the -19.5 yards by another. I have a feeling this is going to be a real close game and if Sumatra continues to turn the ball over, they could be out of this one quickly, however, as I said, CFM doesn’t do a great job creating turnovers and that could be a problem if Sumatra’s offense gets going at full strength.
Prediction: Sumatra Seahawks 31-21
