Pacific Pro Week 4 Showcase
This week I’m doing something a bit ‘harsh’ that I’ve never really done before, at least not nearly on as wide a margin as I’m doing this week; I have excluded all games from the write-up that I believe will not be competitive.
Christchurch Fighting Maori @ $in City $yndicate
CFM has had an interesting season thus far, they beat down OTM and then they dropped a very close game to SBD. Against SBD a pair of turnovers really hurt their chances of securing a victory; going up against $C$ they have to correct this. One other thing that has to be a concern for them is the amount of missed tackles. For $C$ they’ve played a very close game against SBD which they won prior to getting decimated by Razorback Nation. $C$ turned the ball over three times against RN while getting thrashed through the air by Machine Gun Razorback. What they did differently against SBD is limit the turnovers. So it’s not a stretch to suggest that the team coming out of this game victorious is going to be the one that figures out how to take care of the football.
Prediction: $C$ 21-17
Kosovo Kryptonite @ Stockholm Black Death
Kosovo is coming into this game 3-0 after two blowout victories and a close victory over OTM. While they’re not really scoring a ton of points in true competition they are being efficient and careful with the football. SBD has done similar things, however in their one loss it was as simply as a lack of running game and not doing enough with the opportunities they had. This week, both of these teams are going to have bring their A-Game and SBD is going to have to bring their running game. Missed Tackles seems to be a theme against this season as well, both of these teams need to get that figured out.
Prediction: Stockholm Black Death 28-14
Pacific Pro Game of the Week
Bow Chicka Brown Cow @ OffTopica Miracle
Truthfully, I think this could be the most balanced game of the week. Both teams have been running a tight ship; BCBC has been better all around, more efficient, but that may speak to the lack of competition as well. This is an opportunity for both of these teams to give me some real information and prove what they are worth in Pacific Pro.
Prediction: BCBC 31-17
