Actually on the stats a knocked loose counts as all of the above,

A drop for the WR
A catch allowed for the defensive player
A deflection for the defensive player
A KL for the defensive player

how would cover up help with that. Cover up helps for fumbles. A knocked loose is not a fumble.

They're the same in terms of sim mechanics, so anything that helps avoiding fumbles will help avoid KL.

oops - thought you were the one who said cover up was best - my bad - it was Dr. E giving the bad advice

The best single option to lessen knock loose is the SA "Cover Up". If you are only interested in attributes for an answer, I don't think any one of them has any more a chance or lessening a dropped ball than the other.

Carrying to a reasonable level ~60 will make it acceptable, a few per season. Carrying to ~68 seems to eliminate them entirely (in conjunction with Mr. Reliable VA).

Make sure you have the right VAs: Possession Receiver and Mr. Reliable help against knocked loose passes.

or just make a really fast TE with fake SA's and AE and be in the clear when you catch the ball so you don't have to worry about it

I've tried both and combinations of them. I've tried fumble % equipment and combinations of them. Had two WR with high strength included and of course a lot of carry in the first run, little in the second run. The one thing that seemed to reduce knock loose the most? Cover up. Trust me, or don't. Makes no difference to what I do.
