Pacific Pro Award Ceremony

Beating the odds, making the largest comeback of any team in the league, representing their conference proudly, the Dirty Island Gurupies have done it! They have successfully won the Pacific Pro Championship Trophy!

Despite throwing 3 interceptions, DIG found a way to pull this game out. Carthage simply did not have a good day throwing the football, they made the most of two of the three interceptions but at the end of the day, it simply wasn’t enough. This game is what I thought it would be, a defensive, smash mouth type of game that would come down to the final moments, I predicted 28-24, it ended 23-21. Perhaps the biggest contributing factor to this victory might have been the 45 minute time of possession for DIG.

As an individual who knows just how important extra points and FG kicks are and what it can mean when they are missed, The Asian Ocean MVP Award goes to none other than Field Goal Kicker Juninho Pernambucano!

Congratulations DIG on your Championship Victory and good luck in World League!

We dismantled almost the entire team. Screwed up our D and ST unit assignments, but through it all, we knew that if we could make the playoffs, our chem should be high enough to do some damage in the playoffs with the quality of players we were able to upgrade. I told them awhen we were 2-5 that we may have to win out to make the playoffs. Well win out we did. I'd like to give props to our Coords and they deserve it, but that chem was pretty key too.
