Colonial Marines @ OFOTD
This is one of two spots in the conference where seeding could change today; IF Colonial pulls an upset today and Yo Mama doesn’t royally screw up against a ‘CPU’ team, OFOTD would drop to the #5 seed and Yo Mama would move to #4; I’m not predicting this by any means, but it’s a possibility albeit slim.
Prediction: OFOTD 65-3
Carthage Clash @ Alabama Tidesports Crimson Tide
This is the second of the two spots a change could occur; PRDM is going to win their game today with ease; While I expect Carthage to man-handle ATCT, upsets have occurred this season, if one happens here, Carthage would drop to #3 and PRDM would take the #2 seed.
Prediction: 155-10
Oceania Conference
Razorback Nation @ $in City $yndicate
This game could have major seeding altercations. With a win $C$ could jump to the #2 Seed; with a loss they would drop to #3. With a win, Razorback Nation would jump to the #3 seed, with a loss, they could drop to #4 depending on what happens with the Dallas Paladins.
Prediction: Razorback Nation 24-21
Dallas Paladins @ Williamsport Soul Reavers
With a win, Dallas could jump to the #3 seed depending on what happens in the RN/$C$ game, with a loss they could actually drop to the #6 seed, DIG will win today. With a win for WSR, Williamsport would secure the #7 seed, however with a loss and an Asmara win, they would drop to #8; there is no longer a chance for any of the current Top 8 teams to be eliminated from the playoffs.
Prediction: Williamsport Soul Reavers 35-31
Offtopica Miracle @ L.A. Resistencia
The only thing that OTM has left is the ability to spoil someone’s parade; if they can pull an upset here, they could potentially drop LA as low as the #4 seed in the playoffs depending on what happens in the $C$/RN game. With a win, LA would maintain the #2 seed.
Prediction: 75-0 LA
DIG has the ability to move up in the seeding if Dallas loses; I say if Dallas loses because there is no chance at all whatsoever that DIG loses in this final game of the season.
A win over the Cryptic Legends for Newfoundland might grant them another season in Oceania Pro; Sumatra is more than likely going to lose against Whatever, who more than likely is going to win the League Championship and head back to World League. A loss here for Sumatra and a win for Newfounland, would drop Sumatra below both BCBC & Newfoundland because of head to head losses.
In preseason, I referred to Sumatra as the best team in the league, based on their play in S42…. Looking back, I feel foolish because, imo, there isn’t a more disappointing team in the league than the Sumatra Seahawks.
When you look beyond the Roughnecks, you should not be surprised by anyone who is going to get demoted after the season; they simply weren’t that good despite there being a couple of surprising upsets in the mix.
