b]Pacific Pro Playoff Countdown
This week I’m doing things a bit different, like last week, I won’t focus on individual write-ups, I’ll talk a bit more about the picture in place and the final touches that could be provided in week the final two weeks.
Rolling into the final 2 weeks of the season, in SEA, the picture has been set minus the final 2 spots in the playoffs.
Final Record Predictions of Playoff Possible Teams:
A.R. – 10-6
1%ers – 9-7
MKE – 7-9
Colonial Marines – 8-8
ATCT – 7-9
If the above holds true, the top 7 teams in SEA currently, will make the playoffs and MKE will be eliminated in favor of the Colonial Marines. However, If the 1%ers lose to MKE (assuming they also lose to DP) and the Colonial Marines pull off an upset in the final week, they will edge the 1%ers out of the playoffs for the #8 spot.
In the Oceania Conference there is a similar situation brewing. The Top 6 teams are set in the playoffs, the only thing that could change is the exact seeding within the Top 6.
Final Record Predictions for Playoff Possible Teams:
WSR: 9-7
AFF: 10-6
BCBC: 8-8
Sumatra: 7-9
Now, IF the above holds true, the final two spots in the playoffs will belong to AFF & WSR, in that order. However, there’s a couple alternative possibilities:
If Sumatra goes 1-1 in the final two games and finishes 8-8, WSR loses both of their final games and goes 8-8, and AFF goes 1-1 in their final two games to go 9-7, WSR will be eliminated from the playoffs.
In order for BCBC to make the playoffs, they absolutely must beat WSR, a loss would eliminate them from contention considering due to losing the tie breaker to Asmara. Sumatra MUST win both of their final games and needs a WSR loss to any of their final opponents, a loss and a WSR win, eliminates them from the playoffs, as it would no longer be possible to finish in a tie.
Bottom line, if WSR wins @ BCBC and Sumatra loses, WSR is in, it then comes down to the final week and whether WSR or Asmara will finish in the 8th seed.
It truly is as simple as that.
