Are you seriously gonna post this stuff? When's the last time you watched a GLB game?

Some things are clearly overtuned. powerbacks and INT dots are both on this list.

Yes people will keep trying to find out how to do things better, but we are currently trending to more and more INT dots and more rushing (when FAR more players get stats from passing then rushing).

I'm not one of those crazy fucks that thinks we need changes every season to keep it interesting. I am however aware that the current meta is the result of some things not being properly tuned when bort pressed the afk button. It wouldn't be that hard to show you cared and take a look at fixing some issues leading to the eventual 1960's football.

Btw, admin's giving up on the game, then blaming things like elusive backs being underpowered or INT dots being overpowered on the "ever changing meta" instead of a taking responsibility for a sim where at certain positions diversity and build choice is taken away.

But my passing attack is going to be awesome by the time we hit WL, right?

Just need DE to have a break block % bonus on outside runs. That would go a long way to bringing back other offensive attacks.

The secret to passing is QB pressure. If your O line keeps the D far enough away from the QB that he doesn't feel pressure, the pass quality wont take a hit and you can throw in the upper 60% range against the best of teams, without counting screens.

So the way to make INT dots less overpowered is to take away the running game so that the offense has to throw the ball more often and more predictably???

I'd say it's more, enable DEs to be a bigger contributor versus sweeps and therefore fewer long TDs. And of course since it would be a % bonus applied to the DE, the better the build the bigger the bonus, as it should be IMHO. Since OCs would no longer get the big pay off from plays that only need a low % chance of success, they would then put up game plans with a more diverse set of plays.

Cornblade told me all I have to do is wait for all the defenses to build up to stop the power rushing attack and then my passing attack will pwn everyone. That's all I needed to know.

passing is down/rushing up partially because a lot of people built high INT's secondary players (CB/FS/SS) that don't always tackle so good, so pHB's plow over them. Also teams started building more strength WR's to block in those running schemes and pancake those weak secondary players.

Like once QB's started throwing 10 picks a game, people stop wanting to keep throwing it. Is one of the big problems with stagnant (stable) sim. You reach a meta that works best and it just sticks

p much this

i always laugh at the DC's that cry about how overpowered power backs are, yet it's the same DC's that have full INT secondaries with CB's in the 9-20 strength area

Like when 20 speed OLine were getting burned by 100 speed DE's and BORT had to hardcode around the bitching.

it's why I like Combo CB's , and have for awhile now. Higher STR and TAK , I don't look for INT's just good coverage and hope a 4 or 5 man rush can get pressure on QB's(for teams that still throw) and for runs my CB's and Safeties don't get bull rushed over every stinking sweep play.

But now-a-days the rushing game is winning because a lot of teams went the INT route with their D's so they can't tackle for shit.

I agree. I built a very good INT dot but didn't like how it preformed when it came to making tackles against the run (on HB's, QB's, and some WR's as well). Felt lack of strength was the issue because I had as much tackling as most any other CB out there (except for some extreme builds). So my next attempt I went after a pass 'stopping' dot instead of an INT build... and I like it much better. More strength has meant a lot less missed tackles and concentrating of PD's instead of INT's has made him a very good cover dot as well. I'll have to try a combo arch next time though... using the 'zone' arch worked fairly well and better for what I wanted than the 'man' arch did... I didn't even consider the combo. Will have to have a longer look. Thanks for the input.
