Pacific Pro Week 12 Playoff Picture Preview: Episode I

Southeast Asia Conference

For SEA, it pretty much boils down to this; DP, PRDM Carthage, & OFOTD are in. The final four spots are a toss-up at this point. Addicts knocked off the 1%ers last week to get the standings advantage in the Top 8. MBC was likely officially eliminated this week after getting beat by MKE, while they may have slim hopes, they’re exactly that. Bama too received their 7th loss of the season which could make the Current Top 8 in SEA, more than likely, your playoff teams on Day 32.

Honestly…I didn’t think there were any highlight games this week in SEA

Oceania Conference

In week 11 there were some surprising finishes; LA fell to DIG, Whatever & $CS barely got out of their games with a victory, & WSR came back with less than a minute left in the game to win the game against Asmara.

$in City $yndicate @ Sumatra Seahawks

Both of these teams have been quite a mystery this season, for a minute they look good and then for another minute you wonder why they’re not playing in a University League. There’s on pretty simple bottom line here, they both need this victory. Sumatra is trying to keep their playoff hopes alive and more than likely $C$ is playing for home field advantage in round 1, which they currently do not have. I can’t even make a prediction here without second guessing myself because neither one of these teams have looked efficient or exceptional at times this season. What I do know is that this game has direct playoff implications
.
Prediction: Sumatra Seahawks 13-10

Razorback Nation @ Williamsport Soul Reavers:

Razorback has looked dominate this season, they do have a few blemishes on their record but they’re no doubt going to be a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs. WSR barely beat Amsterdam in Week 11 to keep playoff hopes alive. They’re going to need to bring their A++ game here to even have a shot at beating Razorback Nation.

Prediction: Razorback Nation 55-17

Asmara Freedom Fighters @ Legacy’ s Huntington Beach Surf

Both of these teams are coming off of losses in Week 11 but both games were extremely close. Right when you think their playoff hopes are gone, they play each other. The reality of this situation however is, the loser of this game, is most likely eliminated from playoff contention.

Prediction: Asmara 21-20

Dirty Island Gurupies @ Newfoundland Roughnecks

DIG shocked a lot of people I’m sure when they upset LA, they find themselves in a very unique situation right now. They are 6-5 and could potentially make it to the playoffs, but in order to keep that hope alive, they have got to win in Newfoundland. The same can be said for NR, unfortunately, they were decimated by Razorback Nation this week and it will not help their playoff hopes. If they don’t win this week, they could find themselves even further on the outside looking in. With a win here, they could control their own destiny with the head to head tie breaker over DIG, if it comes to that. Like the Asmara/Legacy game, this game has major playoff implications.

Prediction: DIG 17-13

Outback Game of the Week

Whatever @ L.A. Resistencia
LA had a real shot this week at virtually guaranteeing that #2 seed, then they lost in a surprising upset. This week they’re going to face their toughest challenge yet. Can they overcome the odds and put down Whatever for the first blemish on their record? Whatever has yet to lose a game, they’ve dominated nearly everyone they’ve faced, however against OTM this week, they did not look impressive, at all, barely beating a team that is now 2-9. They’re not going to put down LA with that lack luster effort imo, they’re going to have to show up to play at full capability; perhaps they took it easy on OTM, if that’s the case, well, they better not do that with LA because you know that LA is going to come to play.

Prediction:[ Whatever 35-10

Other playoff potential teams

*OTM is likely going to have an opportunity to spoil someone’s milk this week when they face BCBC, with a win OTM could potentially eliminate BCBC from playoff contention.

*Dallas should easily get a win over the Cryptic Legends, as dominate as they are, they should be able to officially clinch a playoff spot in Week 12.

Monks v Carthage could be a good one but there still really isn't any reason for either team to try.

I clearly over looked that game, lol...fail. That definitely should be a good game, though i predict PRDM will win 21-14

with a 2nd round playoff rematch likely I don't think you will see much from either team tbh.

While I agree with you, I never count top seeds as sure wins until they happen. ALL FOUR top seeds lost in R1 for SEA last season.

Monks didn't bother to do much of anything for round 1 & it cost us last season, that shit ain't happening again.

Eh, there won't be a scenario in which I pick a Whatever to lose again.
