Pacific Pro Week 8 Matchup Previews
This week I begin to sift through the Pretenders and start writing about the contenders; contenders playing pretenders weren’t included this week, for those of you that are being referred to as ‘pretenders’ I dare you to use it as motivation to improve.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet, neither of these teams have me believing they can knock off the Top Dogs, but they’re both still very much in the playoff hunt. This game is strictly about playoff seeding imo. It’s time to put up or shut up for both of them.
Prediction: OFOTD 35-21

$C$ is coming off of a very close victory against OTM, perhaps closer than it should have been. I’ll tell you right now, despite $C$’s success with the running game, they really are starting to let doubt creep into my mind about where they stand in the pecking order. I genuinely believe this game could tell us whether they are contenders or pretenders. LA is still the Top Dog in Oceania, they continue to fire on all cylinders and this past week they met a ‘squash team’ so they are only that much more prepared going into this week.
Prediction: LA 55-10
Sumatra Seahawks @ ”Hardcore” Williamsport Soul Reavers
Sumatra has had a very mediocre season to say the least, coming off of yet another disappointing loss, this time to Newfoundland, Sumatra really needs to get their game together and start turning the tide. They put forth no offensive attack at all against Newfoundland. WSR is coming off of what can only be described as a very disappointing loss to Legacy; Legacy was able to decimate WSR’s run defense for over 300 yards. WSR needs to bounce back here, this is not going to be a gimme, WSR is well aware that Sumatra is capable of being much better than they are and if this is some sort of ploy to fly under the radar for the playoffs by Sumatra, it may not work, especially if they fail to even make the playoffs. This could be the game that puts them one set closer to missing the playoffs entirely.
Prediction: 24-21 Williamsport Soul Reavers I don’t usually pick my own team to win, it’s not my style, but the reality is, we believe we can win this game and there’s no reason to suggest otherwise.
