Honestly, creating GLB2 is the worst thing you could have done, and it basically caused GLB1 abandonment and anger over that abandonment. If WG released might brawlers and GLB baseball while still feigning cares for GLB1, you would have a multi-game community (ie players play multiple games). Instead you have GLB1 players who are separate from GLB2 players, and GLB1 players in general are jaded as fuck from abandonment.

I mean I get it, GLB1 stopped being profitable. It however did get to a point of low maintenence allowing you guys to focus on other things. However, mismanaging your current userbase by creating a directly competing game and decided to not implement ANY changes to the original game, causes a bunch of bad feelings and distrust.

In general I mean no offense, but GLB caught lightning in a bottle, since people love football and for what it is, GLB enables a certain football fanatic MMO heaven. By the same token it is crazy for WG to abandon it's current playerbase and pretend they are this super amazing browser game company (seriously everyone hates browser games, they play phone games now).

If you wanted to make money in GLB (obviously ship has sailed)... 1. Create a fully functional android and iphone app. 2. Create a referral/affiliate program that gives people incentive to refer. 3. Add paid fantasy football to GLB so you can further profit from the money paying hardcore football fan playerbase. 4. Implement some of the GLB2 changes directly into GLB1 to make it more noob-friendly instead of creating a new game.

===
While resisting my jaded GLB fandom, if you look at the situation honestly, this company isn't the supercool exception that is going to take a 2005 concept (browser games) and be successful from it beyond the original niche (football MMO) which you found and filled. GLB is awesome and I thank you guys for making it, but the mismanagement will give me an odd amount of satisfaction when WG goes out of business not too far after GLB's last breath (which is within viewing distance)

imo fwiw bbq

Because something that desperately needs work is still far better than the new turds you're trying to polish.

Well, I mean, we spent 5-6 years doing GLB1, and the only thing it did was gradually lose players. If anything, we spent too much time on GLB1, rather than working on new games.

But hey, at least these epic failures of games kept GLB1 going for another year. Let's hope Mighty Brawlers does the same.

Huh? 5-6 years of GLB didn't cause it to gradually lose players....the major and sudden changes to the game did that...not to mention the foolishness that went on by You head honchos
