run block SA's help, as do any skills that apply bonuses directly to attributes. Vision, blocking, strength, agility, etc apply as in all block-related rolls. Hold block% just specifically applies to holding a block.

Awesome, facts. Now if we take a look at the SA, it says it gives a "small bonus to blocking".

I was present for that QA, was for most. If you dig enough, you should find one in which I ask about bonus for making blocks as opposed to holding blocks. The answer is in line with this quote from Bort.

actually it says "gives a small bonus to blocking on running plays" and additional levels "increase the levels to run blocking"

SA's , as most of us know, are not always worded properly either. For example Return Specialist will work on any position that is playing kick/punt returner while the SA says "CB". The SA description for Run Blocker says a small bonus to blocking on running plays... but does not necessarily mean that it only increases the blocking attribute as someone has stated. It also helps the blocker engage... and once engaged Then HB% helps hold the block and things like GetLow, CutBlock and Pancake can fire(or happen)

Most SAs like that give a flat bonus to the overall score, not the attribute. Then % AEQ gives a bonus to the attributes and the SA's bonus.

I remeber Bort saying that Run Block and Pass Block SAs helped you actually engage the block
