Pacific Pro Preseason Analysis
Southeast Asia Conference

I decided to do the SEA Conference a bit different. The bottom line in this conference is that, while there’s some WL experience and some Top Pro level talents, the playoff teams are coming out of the Top 8, maybe 9 teams you see listed below, period. There’s pretty much 0 reason to even game plan at this point in this conference, AT ALL. Nowadays very few people game plan during the regular season anyway, but this season, it’s not going to give you an extra advantage in the Alpha Conference anyway because the bottom 7-8 teams are either completely or nearly completely CPU, the only question about those teams, is which one is going 0-16 and which ones are gonna find themselves with 1 or 2 wins this season? They’ll all be in Regional Pro next season.

The Conclusion here is, the Top 5-6 Teams , in this conference imo are a mixture of World League and Top Pro level (or Regional Pro that’ll make a strong impression at this level) Talents from last season.

My Conference Championship Prediction, would have to be more of a range, I’d say two teams out of the Top 5, though Addicts could make a push and it wouldn’t be that hard to argue.

1. Palembang Royally Drunken Monks
2. The Dead Presidents
3. Carthage Clash
4. Mount Krakatoa Eruption
5. ADDICTS RELAPSE
6. Outlaw 1%ers
7. Alabama Tidesports Crimson Tide
8. Yo Mama
9. Microbeer Brew Crew
10. Nigeria Night Terror
11. Colonial Marines
12. Muncie Flyers
13. The ~Cult~ure of the Grid Iron*
14. OFOTD 45 Extra Skills Points 44
15. Lake Orion Leprechauns
16. The Good Guys

Outlaws 1%ers

Team History Highlights A summary of the key successes and the journey to Pacific Pro, how you ended up here and your accomplishments along the way

The Outlaw 1%ers are owned and operated by Gustoon; in their first three seasons, after his return to the game, they have not yet had a record of below .500 and have not yet failed to make the playoffs.

They arrived in the Southeast Asia Conference because they had no interest in beating up on weak, under-leveled competition; they wanted a challenge and they felt they could find it in Pacific Pro.

Despite the turnover of some key players, but their Power Back, Buster, looks to have the makings of a star for them. Both Buster & QB, Assassin, were inherited by the Gustoon from previous ownership and have done the team a world of good. Defensively they are strong and they have been fortunate at creating turnovers.

The staff is made of some very vital individuals, Guppy, Luke Pass, & Wolfkill, who coordinate and recruit for the team. This staff runs like a well-oiled machine, none of them separately and all of them together, as though they are able to read each other’s minds. There’s a ton of comradery here.

When Gustoon and company look at their schedule, they genuinely believe their season will begin with the teams toughest challenge. How they do against Razorback Nation will set the tone for the rest of their season; frankly, I don’t disagree with them. That’s not to suggest there isn’t any other tough teams in the SEA conference, but RN is by far the toughest opponent on their schedule.

The strength they’ve had is that the 1%ers are very careful with the football and rarely give away turnovers. The weakness, perhaps week 1 will tell us more on that front.

Right now, Gustoon feels it’s reasonable to rank themselves between 4-6 in the SEA conference, again, there’s no reason to disagree. This is a team that has the potential to be featured and often.

Their Rank: 4-6
My Rank: 6 The only reason that they’re ranked “this low” is because the other teams in the league that are relevant to speak of, have a bit more experience at these levels, I fully expect the 1%ers to finish as a Top 3-4 Team in the conference; given the level of competition especially, that shouldn’t be hard to accomplish.

The Dead Presidents

The Dead Presidents, imo one of the favorites in the SEA Conference, are on their 3rd climb of the ladder since coming into existence in Season 8. They’ve had some great achievements, winning Africa Pro in S30, winning Africa AAA back in Season 15, and even making it to World League when it was much more difficult to do so. It’s been a while since they’ve done anything ‘relevant’ but they’ve remained competitive none the less. They’ve admittedly struggled during parts of the regular season and playoffs because of ‘time constraints’ and commitments that take priority of the planning for opposition within GLB. On this run up to the top, the team has gone 115-13, which is in an incredible feat, even with how watered down the leagues are nowadays.

They have put themselves in a great position to take a serious shot at the title in S43, time will tell but there is hope within the organization that this could be their best season yet. There’s a lot of veteran agents on this team, from teams such as the Cambodia Mountain Men, Zulu Warriors, Jakarta Warriors, and Jefferson City Bucks, who were highly successful back in the day.

There is no secret to the fact this is a team that runs the ball, 100% of the time, literally. Their success is going to come from annihilating the competitions defensive line.

Within the organization, they feel that Alabama could surprise some people, the Monks & Clash are teams to keep an eye on and the ‘preseason ranked Top 5’ are going to be extremely tough opponents.

They view themselves as a conservative 3-5 rank.

Their Rank: 3-5

My Rank: 2
