I was just admiring the SP value on my punter, so I thought I would look around at some of the top teams to see where their punters were at.

Top two skills are both over 100 natural (punting is over 111 natural), three more are over 80 (one just under 90). SAs are still 10, 11, and 16.

Obviously there are some old builds from the 2 major days that might be higher, so I'm just looking at active punters.

Since most 3 AE punters have EL over 1700 getting over 1800 with 2 AE shouldn't be hard

Yeah if I had gone 2 as well I could've hit 1840 or 1850 probably.

Yeah, there are people out there with an extra piece of AEQ to help their punting (after EQ) numbers, but they are all missing out on the second skill over 100, especially those who are also trying to hit over 111 punting.

Given the diminishing returns on SAs, the only reason to go 3 or 4 AEQ would be the +3 or +6 on punting, but that comes at a pretty steep price on the rest of the build.

I have a punter with an 1821.8 value. Unfortunately, he's retired and I didn't save his name.

2nd skill over 100 isn't hard with 3 AE

my SPV is a lot lower, but I like my inside the 5 and CC #'s more better, although yours has a nicer average distance (regular season stats)http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4459657

nice SPV you got there though

question: why do you keep your punter build closed?

Only 107 natural punting though.

Makes sense, because your vision is higher than mine (though my punting is 3.27 higher) and I have a lot more Strength and Big Boot.

Really, the punting average comes down to where you are punting from more than anything. For instance, we only punted 36 times this season and I got 8 CCs (3 TBs), while you punted 61 times and got 9 CCs (3 TBs). Last season I punter a lot more, but my average was higher (mostly due to field position).

just to clarify, I wasn't downgrading your punter, build is obviously good. I go for the higher vision just for that reason, I like CC's. It's like the only good stat or replay to watch for on a punter IMO (well except for FF's lol)

You didn't answer my question though:

That and my Kicker's I always keep builds open for all to view. Not sure how anyone could possibly scout a punter's build and use it for any advantage in a game. Heck even punters with crazy builds like this I keep open http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4500095
