Evony is awesome. Where else can you build up a city and then get crushed by someone that spent 5k dollars on one server?

I don't actually play. I just set up a script when a server opens and let it run. I get by logging on for 2 minutes once every couple of weeks.

Abandoned might be a bit harsh. There is still support, but considering the state of passing in WL / the last changelog entry being Sep 11, 2013 ... I find myself fishing for the right word. Dusty?

There was a pretty decent baseball game called Two Out Rally.

Was still getting decent support from the fan base in terms of "flex" purchases, I honestly forget what they called flex over there ... they tried a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to hire one more staff member / expand the game ... and it failed hard. That game was quickly abandoned shortly afterwards, in the true sense of the word.

As in - players not being able to sign contracts, stats not compiling, teams failing to promote to their proper age group, and so on. About 2 seasons of listening to everyone bitch and zero development *AND* support logging in once a *month* or so ... 404 error on trying to access the site.

So while I'd like to see some minor adjustments made here ... *passing/ints cough* ... I'll give them *some* credit, they didn't just pull the plug and tell everyone "go to GLB2".

On the other hand, I'd certainly have bought flex instead of slowly draining out my remaining pile if they showed even minor interest in the game. Not whole scale engine rewrites ala 2011 ... but just the kind of minor balance tweaks we used to see during the off season. The kind that *should* involve tweaking a few formulas, and telling the testers to have at it. Granted I don't know if Bort was working with a nice object oriented, well encapsulated code base ... or a mess of spaghetti.
