I don't think RNG is relevant here imo.
And I know that game planning can make a big difference if there is some substantial things to use.

Team chemistry and morale bonuses are a non factor in tournys
No one tries in the reg season that's any good at this game
More than normal cares at playoff time
So yes, 3 different sims.
