Personally love GLB1. Never spent money on any online game ever, except this one. Spent a few 4-5 hundred over the past 6 years. Havent seen a game online GLB2 included I would spend 10 cents on. I would spend more money on this game if I knew it was gonna last acouple years longer..

this.

I was a beta tester on GLB2 & quit after about a week because I really disliked the changes from this game. The player building process is far superior here although it takes forever.

You disliked the changes from this games? They are two different games. If they had kept too many things similar, they may as well not have even made a new game. I think it is definitely different, and takes time to get used to, but in the end its still a solid game and is pretty fun.

The thing is people used to get their panties in a knot every time Bert made changes to the game.
Now they get their panties in a knot because he does not make changes to the game!

It is not really a big surprise he left!!

i wish bort would have just kept changing this game. people bitched and complained about the moving target, but that was really the only thing that kept a bunch of people here.

I still enjoy the game cause i keep trying new wrinkles as a DC(even thou im not really that good, and i dont try that hard). ive got the flex to create whole defenses myself, so i could stay interested for another 2-3 years.

and the 20-30 people that post in the forums are still entertaining enough for me to keep GLB logged in all day at work.

Shouldn't have rushed GLB Classic out of BETA, even though this game will always remain far superior than GLB2.

Love me some dotball

Never understood why they put out a game to compete with another one of their games. Why not do Baseball, Basketball or any other sport? If the whole idea was to make more money then they are doing it the wrong way. Any CEO of a business would be fired if the put out a product to compete with another one of their products. That's why business buy their competitors to remove them from the market place. Just saying it just doesn't make any sense. So now you have 2 similar games with not much action on either one. Now you have pissed off people that will eventually quit and spend there money elsewhere. Economics 101.....

yeah, but the changes he made that everyone hated only lasted a season or 2 before they were adjusted... its been like 12 seasons of the same bullshit here with no adjustments happening. Most people could have sucked it up for a season, now we have to suck it up for a lifetime. Just stealth change shit and dont let anyone know, let us all guess, it would be more fun

They did it because the are going to shut down GLB Classic.

Bort did it because he was hoping and praying that the football nuts who liked GLB1 would come back to support GLB2. They have no faith in their ability to do other games, nor should they.
